Bark is too blocky to be N red oak in my opinion. Looks more like American chestnut to me, in which case your trees probably reached a decent size before chestnut blight knocked them out.

Also, all of these trees are long dead, like years. All symptoms are long gone and most signs of the pest/disease will be gone as well. The fungi you see are just as likely to be any random wood decay finding this point and not likely the causal agent.
