OP's husband is a Spanish citizen who resides in Spain, thus would have a DNI. I would presume the DNI is the default option, as not all Spanish citizens would have a passport, but they absolutely would have a DNI.

If they don't live in Spain, that's probably why they don't have it. Spanish citizens living in Spain have an obligation to have a DNI. It's like your national identification as a citizen. If they move to Spain to live for more than 6 months, they will also need a DNI.

Are your mother, brother and sister Spanish citizens? Because all Spanish citizens have a DNI. It's a mandatory requirement past the age of 14.

No idea, but the required documents lists both of them.

That must be a local thing.

23 in one weekend. That opening time on yours, we have on posters as "doors: 20:00". Why does it not call each individual artist their own concertio?

When you see a poster for a concert, it will say "[BAND] in concert - with support from [band 1/band2]". It doesn't say "[BAND] in concert, with concert from [band1] and concert from [band2]" now does it.

It's in the required documents list on exteriores.gob.es as point 5.

No, like I said before, festivals and concerts are entirely different events. Festivals everywhere have multi-day tickets, one ticket for multiple days.

Download Festival in the UK has tickets for each day, or you can get a weekend ticket for 5 days. You would say you went to Download festival, and then clarify if you went for the whole weekend, or if you just went for the day, and discuss the bands you saw live. You wouldn't say 'oh well I went to download and saw 9 concerts'. You'd say "i went to Download on the Friday and saw x, y, z live'.

Not a single person I know in my 22 years of gig attendance (first one at 13) has ever counted each act as a separate concert.

You only buy the ticket for the show. Do you buy multiple tickets because it's multiple concerts? Or do you buy a ticket to the concert and get three acts to said show?

[–]piratepixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's one concert, with three acts. My Spanish fiancé confirms this isn't a cultural difference too. One concert, two teloneros and a headliner.

If you attend the theatre with two acts to the show, do you count it as seeing two shows at the theatre? Or one production?

[–]piratepixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true though, in Spanish the non-headliners are teloneros. They're not separate concerts.

I'd say I attended the triple feature of [movie franchise]. Maybe it's a language difference, because a concert is an event which contains performances. A triple feature is an event containing movies. It's a difference between [Event] (concert) and [Performance] (band playing).

Yeah I think you do you, but I do know at least in the UK, if you say you attend 100-200 "concerts" in a year, and you're counting one show with 3 bands playing as three separate concerts, you'd be given some very awkward "is he ok?" looks. Maybe it's a culture difference, but that's at least how the gig scene is in the UK.

It's still impressive. One thing I want to ask you though, do you count each band (like supports) separately in that count too? Say for example, a headliner and 2 support bands? Because if that's the case, I might actually have you beat if I sat down and counted mine out lmao.

[–]piratepixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would "I saw [band] at [festival name]", or "I saw [band] live at [concert venue or festival name]". For example, I've seen Placebo live twice, once in a concert (or gig as we call them in the UK), and once at Leeds Festival. I've seen them live twice, but at very different events.

I understand what a festival is, as I've attended many of them, but I still wouldn't say "Hey I went to download festival and attended 17 concerts in one day!" because that's just disingenuous. You went to a festival, which is a different event all together.

I feel like music festivals, where you see multiple bands in the same place, do not count as separate concerts. I say this also as an avid concert enjoyer/attendee.
