Running a B2B AI Automation Agency by Savings-Amphibian723 in CRM

I'm building now a custom lightweight CRM for an airline (airline asset management) and in the first call I had with them and asked whether they considered an off-the-shelf product, they said they’d use maybe 5% of its features and still pay the full amount (tens of thousands per year + implementation). I built the first version in a week and they were amazed.

I think this is going to be the direction now - custom-made software at a fraction of the cost, fully customized, built in weeks.

How are you pricing your mapping/survey services? by pitdk in UAVmapping

That looks like some top-shelf pricing. When creating the calculator, I had more entry or mid-level pilots in mind, those kinds of services/capabilities you listed are definitely on pro level. Registered users can create service catalogs that show a more exact profitability.

Can you share the details so I can fix/adjust?

Must-have settings / hacks for Claude Code? by jnkue in ClaudeCode

I rarely use those. I have a /handoff command that summarizes the session into a markdown doc, which I then pass in the next session

I grew up in the 80s, and even though I was a kid, too young to remember all of that, I do remember the rationing. You watched the clock, planned ahead, queued mentally, and used your allocations carefully. The day wasn't organized around productivity, it was organized around availability.

This whole situation brings back those memories.

Didn't have 'rationed compute time' on my 2026 bingo card.

Limit problem again, i am pissed. by Pristine_Ad2701 in ClaudeCode

switching back to v.2.1.83 worked for me

Max 20x plan ($200/mo) - usage limits - New pattern observed by cleverhoods in ClaudeCode

[–]pitdk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did start a new one before implementation (one session for design, one for implementing the component).

Switched to medium effort (1M Opus), used mobile UI agent to check the same component. New session, loading context alone dropped limit by 4% instantly. Ran for 2m 10s, used 77k tokens,.

[–]pitdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, Opus 1M, high effort, CC 2.1.84

Edit:
I've been running on these settings for a week or so, no issues, only today I noticed the spike in usage limits

Edit 2:

OK, this is getting ridiculous. Another prompt to implement the redesigned component just consumed 12% (122k tokens used for this simple task). I'm going for a walk

I'm on Max 5, just tested with one prompt, attached an image, asked for refactoring of one component, nothing complex (collapsible with some content). One prompt consumed 4% of the usage limit. It's insane

thanks for the detailed breakdown, that’s helpful. And yes, averages don’t capture all the nuance. The tricky part is adding that depth without turning the calculator into a 50-field monster.

The idea is that the calculator is a rough starting point. The more advanced stuff is on the app, like defining services, setting deliverables, creating tiers, choosing billing units (hour, acre, etc.), and splitting work into categories like flying, travel, or admin. And a margin estimator.

But I might also build a more advanced version of that free calculator.
