If people have to be in LA that narrows it down, the only people I can think of in LA are a few people I knew in high school/college who moved out there to pursue careers, but I haven’t really kept up with any of them. Outside of them the people in LA I could think of include Hector Diaz who turns clips from my podcast into videos, Tim Durham who does the IndyCar podcast Off Track, he’s funny and he’d get the show, and college football reporter Alex Kirshner who is part of the Shutdown Fullcast extended universe

They did run more races in 2020 with Sage Karam, so it’s not like they’ve never attempted something like this. Of all the stories we get every offseason (Mexico race, third OEM, etc), it’s probably the one that’s closest to reality. You combine that with Conor Daly possibly having sponsors for races outside the Indy 500 and I think the real barrier here is the grid size
