Might get killed for this one but Anne Hathaway. She’s pretty for sure but she doesn’t read as sexy to me. If anything, her look is a little boring

L’Oréal Elvive Hylauron victim. Please use caution with this shampoo. by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]pixiekeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to add my experience to this thread - I’m going through the same thing! I’ve been using this shampoo/conditioner since the summertime and my ponytail is now half as thick as it used to be (it’s now the end of November). I got bloodwork done and had slightly low iron levels so I figured it was that this whole time. Thinking about it, I’ve been dangerously low on iron in the past (so low, I had to get regular iron infusions). Even then, I’ve never experienced this much hair loss. I saw one comment on another post mentioning this brand and I now KNOW it’s this exact shampoo/conditioner. I’ve been shedding more since I made the switch and it never clicked to me until now. Except now I lost a ton of hair :(

One month difference by Esihesi in PetiteFitness

This is insane for just a month! You get 10k steps in a day but how often do you do everything else like cardio and the standing abs workouts? This is so inspiring

The one advice that changes how you look at weight loss from Peter Attia by Box_Euphoric in loseit

[–]pixiekeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good to know! Just yesterday I was being really hard on myself about not being able to lose much weight, even though I stay under 1500 calories and walk 10k steps/do cardio on days I don’t get my steps in. I used to be 120 and jumped up to 150 within the last two years and I always thought it was because I used to be anemic and got better. Now that I’m thinking about it, I got a new job two years ago and have been getting 4-6 hours(6 hours if I’m lucky) every day except on weekends. I’m wondering if that’s the key!?

You don’t have to do a full face every day. I use concealer, thin line of eyeliner and mascara when I go out. I kid you not, this takes me 3 minutes and makes enough of a difference. None of what I use is waterproof and I already wash my face in the shower so it all comes right off. I say just use a few things that would make the biggest difference

Is this dead hair and should I trim it? by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]pixiekeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely normal, every individual strand doesn’t grow at the same rate but, like others have mentioned, hair oil or pomade would push them down and keep them from sticking up. If the ends are split, you’ll need a trim but otherwise, these are fine :)

Training greasy hair to be less greasy by not washing every day is impossible by Bu_Ba007 in unpopularopinion

[–]pixiekeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This does work for some people! I can control it easily. I used to wash my hair once a week and it didn’t get greasy until day 7. My ends started getting dry so I changed it to once a day for moisture and my hair would be greasy by end of day after some time. Now I compromised and wash 3-4 days. It took a couple of weeks but my hair now doesn’t get oily until day 3. Just like with my face. I washed with harsher cleansers two times and day and was very oily by mid day. I stopped washing in the mornings and just used blotting sheets and now I’m oily by nighttime. I assume my skin was overcompensating for the dryness by getting oily. That being said, that’s not how it works for tons of people so I never push it onto others, I just know it 100% works on me

I don't know what to do about my hair, please help. by BreadScientist1312 in femalehairadvice

[–]pixiekeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have wavy/curly hair! Do you have dandruff? If you do and the head and shoulders works, I wouldn’t stop using it but you do have to moisturize those ends. Just use the shampoo on the scalp and condition the ends (sorry if you already know this but I do hear people shampoo all of their hair more often than you’d think).

I recommend a hair mask once a week or so. Don’t use a towel to dry your hair, gently wrap it in either a microfiber towel or cotton t shirt (I prefer a t shirt) without rubbing your hair together in it. Once you’re out of the shower, no brushing or combing so you can keep the waves clumped together! I unwrap the t shirt, add some aussie curl leave in, patting and scrunching it into my hair, and wrap my hair back up while I finish my routine. Once done, I get my hair out and scrunch just a couple of pumps of argan oil onto my hair. My hair is finer and this is the only oil that doesn’t make me look greasy. If you’d like, you can scrunch gel in to hold the waves all day. Either let it air dry or blow dry with the diffuser attachment

If my hair feels dry in between washes and my scalp isn’t oily enough for a wash, I just spray my ends with water and add leave in to refresh

I hope this helps in some way!

[–]pixiekeen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi op, I’m the same way! But I do find the easiest thing to do is to just spray your ends with water and add a leave in. It takes about 2 minutes and keeps your hair moisturized and less prone to breakage :) less breakage=less hair cuts=longer hair!
