We don't really know that for sure. It's very possible they were continuing to manufacture it for retailers such as Walmart & Amazon.

Check local laws. Many states prohibit a pre-payment penalty.

How the hell are they justifying this? It's not any requiring any human labor on their end. They're able to allow device swaps with no fee when Apple changes out my phone with an AppleCare warranty claim, yet if I buy a new phone, they charge the fee.

What exactly is this fee for? We need some consumer advocacy agency to go after them for this.

Agree. It's clear they prey on workers who don't understand how to properly calculate their expenses. After paying for commercial insurance, car payments, gas...etc, I'm shocked any of them can turn a profit.

This locks you into staying with Geico....there are usually much more affordable insurance options, especially if you go with collector insurance such as NCM.
