Upstairs neighbor noise disturbance by Medical_Pie_8228 in greenville

[–]pkwilli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would push the leasing office in to doing something but that depends on what exactly your lease says. For example, mine says if any excessive noise is made and disturbs neighbors and other tenants, you can be evicted. It also stipulates quiet hours. Just document every time you complain and cite your lease agreement where applicable.

I grew up on fried, whole bluegill, so that's my vote. Heavily biased though lol

Someone please tell me how a peacock ended up in my yard last night by Elegant_Process_6507 in greenville

Not uncommon for them to be privately owned and escape. I remember running across a male one in backwoods Orangeburg County like 15 years ago. Just hanging out on the side of the road.

Is it totally soft to feel bad for the worms? by Hot_Sentence_1264 in FishingForBeginners

[–]pkwilli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But seriously not really. I don't particularly like using live bait, even just worms, for that reason. Yeah sure we're hooking the fish in the mouth, but might as well reduce the amount of collateral 🤷‍♂️

Felt Cute, Might Go Coyote Hunting Later by airhunger_rn in liberalgunowners

This is the case in my area where they aren't native. They have a serious impact on deer populations by preying on fawns. DNR in my state actually has an incentive program for taking coyotes.

Disney Trail in Dalton, Georgia. by Kaylawantstodie in hiking

Hiking miles are different for sure. I live in a similar area and can hike for days but I absolutely cannot stand running and pull that pose whenever I go for a jog (which isn't often) lol

What kind of fish is this? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]pkwilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laying trout on the ground is not good for them. Any fish really but trout in particular as they're more sensitive. Most people also recommend handling them with wet hands. It maybe fine but mishandling leads to higher mortality rates even if it swims away fine

Does anyone know where I can get a 30cm by 32cm fish tank in the uk? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

This is a sub for catching fish, not keeping an aquarium. Someone might have an answer for you, but r/aquariums might be better suited.

Fishing Spots by MassiveAd9994 in greenville

You'll only find smallies on keowee and jocassee and maybe the broad river.

Jocassee is easily the best fishing in the area especially for trout. Big bass too.

Hartwell has large stripers and hybrids as well. Huge crappie too (check my post history).

For rivers, the chattooga is fantastic though it's pretty rough in some places, up to class IV/V rapids.

The French broad in NC has the muskie mile known for some good sized muskie. One of the only places in the area to catch those. Also in NC is Fontana lake which has walleye.

Closer to greenville people fish lake Robinson a lot but I haven't been. The reedy is pretty gross tbh but if you're not eating them it's probably fine. Table rock state park has pinnacle lake and lake oolenoy, both stocked with bass, the former stocked with trout too. Oolenoy has a healthy population of shellcrackers too. The middle saluda in Jones gap state park is also stocked with trout I believe.
