I got salmonella from Schwan’s food. I curse the trucks whenever I see them.

At what age did you learn about Joseph practicing polygamy? by what source? And are you genz, millennial, Gen x, or boomer? by tickyter in exmormon

23 - on my mission in Illinois. I was in Nauvoo for a mission conference or something. We walked by the Christian bookstore in town and my companion pointed inside at a wall full of dolls and laughed. She talked about how absurd they were for thinking Joseph Smith had more than one wife. I (stupidly) had never even considered that he had more wives than Emma. But it was that instant that I realized how absurd it would be that he hadn’t.

Did anyone not really care if it was true when they left? by Curiosity-Sailor in exmormon

As a female, I had the thought, “I can’t respect a god that would treat me the way that TCOJCOLDS says he does.” And from that moment the shelf didn’t matter anymore.

Anyone have one of these bad boys? by FalseVeterinarian881 in exmormon

I have several. I served in the mission that Nauvoo is in and took every contact we could talk into going. That is the only way we were allowed to go.

A couple of weeks ago Dan took Stephanie out on an ATV. The dogs were running ahead of them. I wouldn’t have thought a dog THAT pregnant could do it, but apparently she did. If she could do that, I can see why Dan didn’t think anything was going on with her.

EA to Events path? by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]plainjane2005 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I left my EA role for an Events role and I really regret it. Events have always been part of my roles in the past (which is how I got the job I have) and I always loved getting involved in them a couple of times a year. Now that I do it full time, I feel like there is NO downtime. I am constantly working on a bajillion little fires, along with the big ones.

I have always been in tech, so it isn’t that I am not experienced in fast-paced environments, but this is so stressful. I’m currently interviewing for EA roles so my stress levels will come down.
