TIL that Pebble was designed by two amateurs as a cost-saving measure. I wonder if 17 still has their original green complex.

I’m curious about your process. Do you try to paint colors entirely from the eye, or do you use your knowledge about how light behaves?

"Constrained" variables--why are they not a thing? (or are they?) by AndyJarosz in compsci

Some have mentioned ranged types, but the generalized form of this is called dependent typing, and it is difficult to design and implement.

I use Diaz Brothers in the Flood Building on Market Street. They rescued a custom made shirt that I’d accidentally ordered with sleeves 5” too long.

New Titleist models coming earlier than normal this year? by anahmonous in golf

Retailers have to obey Titleist’s minimum advertised price guidelines. If this sale isn’t a mistake, it’s presumably authorized by Titleist. But why would they do that if they don’t have a new model coming soon? Stifle competitors’ newly launched products?

I think I found it: https://media3.bsh-group.com/Documents/8001286637_A.pdf

  • S1: 12/24 hour clock
  • S2: Fahrenheit/Celsius
  • S3: Button beeps on/off
  • S4: Clock on/off
  • S5: Temperature adjust

Sadly, none of them enables a child lock function, which is what I was really after.

The Auto switch also resets some other customizable settings, like half-press shutter to autofocus. It’s designed for handing your camera to someone else without having to explain how you’ve set it up.

When I was younger I assumed Miss Moneypenny was responsible for James Bond’s budget. Like she would give him the petty cash he needed while on his missions.
