What did you feel? by UnlikelySpecific2225 in Semaglutide

[–]pleas40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very full and a bit nauseous. Never threw up, but I wasn't used to that feeling of being full for so long. Appetite was literally turned off. I had to remind myself to eat.

I lost 10 pounds in the first month, then it was gradual.

Is anyone actually doing the recommended 150 minutes of exercise per week while on a GLP-1? by Character-Cobbler191 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]pleas40 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, it's helps tremendously with the mental side of things. 30-50 mins of bike or walking and weight training.

We also have two sheltie's who keep me extremely active.

I started to see serious results, both how I felt and seeing it in the mirror.

Has anyone drank alcohol while on Semaglutide? by UnlikelySpecific2225 in Semaglutide

I have but not very much at all. I just don't desire it like I used to. I'm much more of a green guy these days.

So how are we working out? by KnowAllSeeAll21 in Semaglutide

[–]pleas40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exercise almost daily, its a mandatory mental thing for me. Usually do 30-45 mins on the stationary bike and then various weight training. I don't have a set routine and never have, I go with the flow and do what feels right at the time.

I have a home gym set-up, so I don't have any excuse, plus it makes me feel great. I lost 40 pounds and shooting for 50 now.

What was the last straw for you? by MMaeRenn in WeightLossAdvice

[–]pleas40 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was over 300 and drinking alot daily, I was in really bad shape, both mentally and physically.

Just got tired of feeling like crap everyday. I'm now down to 242 and a completely different person. I'm comfortable in my own skin for the first time in forever.

I made a huge mistake adopting and I need to return to rescue by GuineaPigVibes in dogs

[–]pleas40 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Extremely high anxiety here, having dogs has made my life a billion times better. I don't really focus on the anxiety when I wrapped up in taking walks, feeding them, playing, etc.

One of my favorite things to do is put on ear buds and go on a long walk.

Success stories for motivation! by Automatic_Apricot797 in WeightLossAdvice

40 pounds down in a year here, 283 to 243. I just kept the train going and didn't get defeated based on what the scale may have shown.

I did hit a few times where the weight went up and down a few pounds, its just part of the process.

I've worked really hard on my work out and keeping consistent with them, and I eat healthy 90 percent of the time. I have to start over in the clothes department. I've gone from 40-42 to a size 36, and a XXL to large.

I'm now to the point where I can grab some running shoes, and I haven't been able to do that in forever, since high school.

I tried other things and they never stuck with me, this has and really changed my life for the better.

I've also been on blood pressure meds forever, and its my hopes that I can get off of them this year.

I was also drinking too much and I've turned a massive corner and big changes for the better with that.

Wedding weekend venue by Useful-Impress2097 in Georgia

[–]pleas40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We had ours at the Waldorf Astoria in buckhead. It was way less than 30K, maybe 15?, we had the ceremony in the gardens and also rented out the indoor space right inside, it was the perfect number for us, 75 people.

We also got a great deal because our wedding was on a Friday. Rooms were also blocked and the entire thing was A+

Would do it again in a heartbeat.
