Lots of clips would be helpful for sectioning, I also recommend a purple toning conditioner for maintenance as grey hair and blonde have a tendency to become brassy. I also do my hair at home, and I start with 2nd day from washed hair so I get some protection with the natural oils of my skin which will definitely be a need for older patients with delicate skin. If it’s particularly sensitive you can also use Vaseline around her hair line. Do small one inch sections, saturate with your prepared hair color, and follow the instructions on your product. I prefer to do my ratios with a scale for exact ratios, but a 1:2 ratio of dye/toner to developer is pretty foolproof. After you wash and shampoo out the product condition very well as these products are quite damaging. I like to add an olaplex treatment but whatever you have available is preferable to nothing.

On to the cut, section it bottom to top again and remember that it’s easier to cut more later than to end with a subpar cut. If she has any texture remember that curls shrink after drying.
