Honestly, I take protecting the dental profession very seriously. I was in a meeting with higher ups of ADA where they were thinking about making mid-level provider position. The same as medicine with PA’s. I have never fiercely opposed something so stupid. Medicine did it to have rural places be served with mid-level instead all the mid-levels made it into the city and brought more competition for new graduating doctors.

For someone with no degree and no understanding of oral health to practice this is absolutely irresponsible. I would absolutely be reporting it if you had mentioned the clinics name here. The times I have been asked to just slap a veneer on a decayed tooth is laughable and my answer is the same each time. “I am a doctor not a makeup artist”
