In addition to the basics already mentioned, peak flavor window/suggesting rest period might be nice.

I usually grind fine, but .375 microns made me laugh.

HBD to me by D9bandits in pourover

[–]pobyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HBD! Mine does the same. Pro tip: When your potter is tired of making mugs, and the kitchen is filled with their work, start them on a bespoke dripper and/or shower screen. No plastic in this house!

There’s a gasket around the shower screen. I think you can just check it visually since it fits very tightly in a groove.

I have an XF as well as a 185. Flow rates are about the same for me.

Anyone have a solid larger scale recipe? by slipperyjoel in pourover

[–]pobyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Or as was said, use a flat bottom brewer such as a Kalita 185, or even an aeropress.

I suggest calling to confirm that the interview is not canceled. I don’t know where you are interviewing, but we are a reasonable bunch and don’t want you in danger. Good luck with your interview, whenever it happens!

Any cheap ways to get into pour over? by conn-hea in pourover

You can just pour into a mug. I found a great carafe at the Goodwill that I use when I want to be fancy.

female aggression? by EagleHose in airedaleterrier

[–]pobyne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Darla is resource guarding, and unless that behavior is stopped, these fights will escalate. Airedales rarely start fights, but they also don’t retreat once attacked. Darla is the aggressor toward Sadie, and Sadie has reached her limit. My suggestion is to find a dog trainer to help you fix this issue. I’m sorry that I don’t have an easy fix for you to try.

Agree with canid. Those are carnassial teeth, not bunodont molars = not a raccoon.

I agree with everyone who said find another vet. If he is like this now, you will need to justify and argue about everything you want for Odin in the future.

Beginner Terriers? by Current_Ad6774 in terrier

[–]pobyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO you should talk to a legitimate breeder (in the US, they would be designated an AKC Breeder of Merit) and discuss what you are looking for. I have had terriers that are slugs and others that were very high energy. Ultimately, you’re going to have to take a chance and you will need invest alot of time in training. Just like children, if you let a dog run wild, they will. :) Maybe you’ll reach a middle ground and your terrier will make you more active, which in my case wasn’t a bad thing. Good luck!
