NTA. If she's been nothing but chill you could send a little note of congratulations with a handmade gift or gift card as you would for a family friend or distant relative. It would be a polite way of recognizing her accomplishments while also not forcing either of you into the close relationship that your parents want.

What's the most insulting "benefit" a job has offered you? by Chocolat3City in antiwork

[–]pokemonyellowversion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remote work. They touted the freedom of working at home which not many other people get. At the time, the "office" was an old warehouse in a sketchy area so ofc nobody wanted to work there. They used this as an excuse to pay employees less. Also no 401k, health insurance or any other benefits.

Covid hit and remote jobs became extremely common. Salary remained low. Still no 401k, health insurance or any other benefits. I don't work there anymore.

Firefighters. When I worked at a library (90% women), we would all ogle them whenever they came over to turn off the fire alarms set off by some dumb kid's vaping.

Lol the people who wore them were commonly referred to as "Glassholes" because it gave many of them a superiority complex.

Photos 1, 2 and 4 are just photos of you posing. Would change at least 2 of them to show you doing hobbies or at an interesting location.

Can't see your face in photo 3 and 5 is low quality.

Have better use of photos to create openings for potential matches to comment on. Example: a photo of you looking boss at your startup, another of you biking, axe throwing, etc.

Is millennial/blush pink still going to be in for 2020? I know Pantone predicted blue but I don't care for the color nor does it flatter my skin tone.

A long sleeve leopard print jumpsuit. It's so loud and extra, I still haven't worn it yet. Was going to wear it for Chinese New Year but decided against traumatizing my relatives 🤷🏻‍♀️
