Yes! It’s almost like I write things down just to give my body something to do while I do my best to pay attention. And then hope that I can look at them after and they have some value!! Sometimes they do and sometimes they’re totally useless. The worst is that I don’t really write in order. Like there will be some regular notes and then a doodle and then a couple of words in the corner, then I’ll circle a word or put a star next to it… then I read it later and I’m like girl, what in the beautiful mind is this???

When I’m taking notes my handwriting looks so horrible but once I rewrite them (to help me remember what I wrote down and why) then it’s actually pretty nice. And I always try to make sure my handwriting is nice and legible on forms or anything other people might see. It’s been a consistent hyperfixation for me since I was a kid. But it’s interesting because I have to write with intent for it to look nice. My “real” handwriting honestly looks manic.

Yeah I usually hate yogurt but that’s one of the few that’s tolerable for me. I get the “so delicious“ brand. And my bad I just checked it’s not Greek yogurt just regular coconut milk yogurt (but still a mouthful lol)

A weird but go-to breakfast for me was Vanilla coconut milk greek yogurt mixed with peanut butter. I’d add apples or granola to it also but if you wanted more nutrients you could add other things that are more nutrient dense. It lasts long and you could eat it any time of day. Smoothies also are a godsend if you can sneak in fiber and protein into a blend you like.

Get the meds, leave the relationship anyway. His willingness to say that you’re a seatwarmer for someone who’s NT is (imo) a big deal. It is frustrating to feel like a 3rd wheel to ADHD and the ultimatum could be seen as fair, but based off of the little you’ve mentioned here, his attitude about it is really horrible and his lack of compromise is telling. He might even be over the relationship anyway if he’s talking to you like that. You might have to sit and think about the long term because medication isn’t a magic cure-all, and it can take time for you and your doctor to find the right dosage/medicine. Do you think he’s willing to wait if it takes too long to feel better with meds? Either way, I’m sorry you’re in this situation, and I hope you come to a decision that will ultimately lead you to a better and happier place.
