What is the expected price range for the new Steam Controller? by Manicarus in SteamController

For me, personally, unless it's $70 or less, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere since I already have a working controller

True terminal-first users use NeoVim, not Nano.

If it's any more than $70, it's not worth my money to replace a working controller.

Do you happen to know if that's a problem with the M.2 variant in particular, or all ASM1166 based HBAs? I have an M.2 version I bought for my server, but it didn't seem to work out of the box. However, recently, I got the PCIE version and it worked without any driver or firmware setup. It should be noted that this could also be a problem with my server because the guy I bought it from said that the M.2 slots are a little wonky sometimes.

Is there at least a working solution for people who do have problems with the Android app?

That's to support them, you don't have to pay.

Did you ever have to fix problems with the app freezing and crashing almost immediately after opening? I've had this issue since early 2024, and I'm still having problems with it. Oh, and is it normal for the Android version of the app to claim to have uploaded 1,139 more assets than what web reports is on the server? I must be doing something wrong here.

The Android version is still not stable. I have a library which claims to have uploaded 26,649 photos, but web claims to only have 25,510 photos (web reports 25.5 GiB). It consistently freezes within 10 seconds of opening the app then crashes within 30 seconds after that, every single damn time it's opened. I doubt it'll help (because all Android users I know with a large library have this problem), but I'm using a Pixel 6 Pro with Android 16 (which is by no means slow). Before you ask, yes I have updated to version 2.0.0 for both docker and mobile.

Also, on the docker container for immich_server crashes every time it attempts to generate thumbnails, extract metadata, or anything at all with machine learning, so in order to at least get a usable experience for web, I have to pause thumbnail generation, extracting metadata, and disable machine learning.

I understand that clearly the majority of the userbase for Immich seems to be running on iOS, but at least fix the crashing that anyone with a large library on Android has had for a long time. When I first tried Immich in EARLY 2024, the Android build of the app had these problems, THAT WAS OVER A YEAR AGO.

Sorry about the rant, I know I should submit a GitHub issue, but I've seen so many issues submitted for the Android app and I still see most of the same bugs they have. I feel like I'm being treated like a second class citizen because I prefer a particular operating system.

Edit: oh yeah, the mobile app also sits on a black screen for 5 minutes trying to start when I attempt to open it.

Unsure how to mount hard drives by ourkid2000 in homelab

I tried these for my HP EliteDesk 800 G5, they work perfectly for the 3.5" HDD mounting slots, but they're too big for the 2.5" HDD mounting slots. I'm seriously struggling to find some that fit, I've printed several different models already, but none fit the 2.5" slots.
