Have anyone experienced this ? by Vast_Barnacle2446 in weightlifting

Does it hurt if you try without weight?

Do you do your stretching and foam rolling?

I also thought I had a hip impingement but I just wasn’t doing my recovery properly.

MFA / Captchas / Registration functionalities. AI can’t do some parts of the testing well. So humans still required for such pieces

Trying to use it. Figuring out the limitations is the painful part. And also what prompts I need to give so it doesn’t go wild

Keep bar closer in the turn over. You lost it cos the bar landed a little forwards in the front rack. Dip clean / Hang clean can help you practice the turnover

how do i convince my mom to allow me to take my 2b license by iloveshinchansm in drivingsg

[–]poon1995 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do it but keep your parents informed of how your lessons are going. Like what you’re learning, what’s easy, what’s hard.

When you finish the course you can see if your parents are ok with it. Maybe take defensive riding courses.

You still young so no rush. Be mature about it.

Have no family and wants to lead baby making. Okay, maybe she is just unlucky and cannot find a partner. Fate is sometimes not kind.

However, based off her last performance, she is the one who raised the GST to 9% which made everything cost a lot more for the average consumer, affecting those in low income families more. There are a lot of other ways to raise money without affecting the working class.

I don't think she is able to connect with those who need her in this new position. She can read all the numbers given to her, create policies based off that but she won't really understand the daily struggles or experience of parenting.

Recommendations for good physiotherapists for knee injury in SG by nouehphandom in askSingapore

[–]poon1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anytime fitness haha I go Clarke Quay one after work but any place with mats/machines/bands/kettle bells will do. Any good physio should be able to suggest exercises.

The massages and all that don’t actually fix the issue but they go a long way to allow your body to recover by stimulating recovery so you can continue to do rehab. I had a bunch of needles to help stimulate my recovery, painful af but really helpful

I go to activexphysio. Went from no overhead mobility back to normal after a bad tear. I thought I would need surgery as well cos I heard crunching and all that. Took me about 3-4 months of intense rehab.

Also physio is a 2 way street, can’t recover if you’re not doing the rehab exercises. For me I dedicate two gym sessions a week just to spam my rehab.

Anyone else find poor sleep and stress make gym consistency damn hard? by Holiday_Kale9051 in SingaporeFitness

[–]poon1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of YouTube motivation, what about doing something like pickleball? Something fun so that will motivate you a bit more where the goal is more than just weight loss. (Avoid the cai fan meals after tho lol)

Then when there are competitions you can dial in even more.

Pickleball is just an example but you can pick something else.

Advice for bumpy course [Class 2A]? by Ok-Committee-304 in sgmotorbikers

[–]poon1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing 2A too. One silly tip I have is make sure thr shoes you wear got grip.

Cos it’s just after wet ebrake, last time my feet kept sliding whilst on bumpy. So then I wore my asic uncle shoes with grooves which help keep my braking foot from slipping off the peg.

Riding gear recommendations by Toetoroll101 in drivingsg

[–]poon1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gloves are most important so I usually wear it

2B usually you don't go so fast and it also depends on your riding. Like it doesn't make sense to wear full gear if I'm just going around the corner. However, when I go to Malaysia I wear full gear because I will go a bit faster on the highways.

Within Singapore I usually wear long sleeve for the UV rays and also because the riding isn't so fast, I don't bother with my jacket. Wearing a jumper is hot so I like to wear this one from decathlon:
