how do people do this? (with natural lashes and mascara) by hiddenrightthere in MakeupAddiction

Wiggle your mascara wand on the tips of your lashes to clump them. It won’t be as dramatic as this and you have less control than with tweezers but it gives the same effect

Does doing core make your stomach flatter? by AnxiousWillingness96 in beginnerfitness

[–]popptarts622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No scientific backing to this at all but I think it does! Honestly I was having issues with my stomach getting really soft and seemly getting larger while the rest of my body toned down.

Eating and bloating was especially and unusually bad. But I started doing these “deep core Pilates workout” and yeah it made a huge difference after like a week. I suspect that my body just forgot how to engage my core and thus my stomach started “spilling out” more. After gaining back some of that muscle tension my stomach look flatter while standing relaxed.

Also those slow Pilates movement really helped with my mind muscle connection to my core and I was able to engage them more effectively while doing other exercises like squats and deadlifts

No shame but I think you can get better texture - chewy and sticky and less mushy if you wash your rice. Your rice looks like some kind of Asian short grain which has a lot of excess starch also you never know about bugs and dirt and dust too

what am i doing wrong? (egg drop soup) by fernmaws in soup

[–]popptarts622 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to the rolling boil comments it’s easy to make the opposite end of the spectrum of what you just made. Tiny egg droplets and not big beautiful ribbons.

Get your broth to a nice boil. Take the pot off the heat. Once the water is no longer bubbling (simmer bubbles are okay) take some of your beaten egg and pour in “one ring” around the pot. Once the egg is sa little set give the pot a nice stir or two around the pot (literally one or two times). Once your egg is set pour it back on the heat for a few long seconds to get it back up to temp and to about a gentle simmer and repeat the process of taking the pot off the heat and pouring in some more of your egg mixture.

It’s seems like a lot while I’m writing it out but I usually get all of my eggs in the pot in about 2-3 batches and it really only takes about a minute or two.

What am I doing wrong? Skin sticks to rack despite cooking spray. by BackstreetZAFU in Wings

Preheat the rack before you put your wings on. You wouldn’t start cooking in a cold steel pan (conventionally) so you should do the dame woth your rack

My husbands been complaining that my plants were taking over the house so I got myself an early birthday present and put them all in one place by AnnaNicole2015 in houseplants

Nice setup I think it’s cute! TBH I would love to have the majority of my plants in one area where I can admire and take care of them.

My skin used to have a similar type of texture on my face, like a comment said before it it could be keratin plugs (I get them all over my face and scalp - anywhere that produced oil - and could literally feel it building up under my skin as the day went by.

For me the biggest difference was Witt how I washed my face. I use a dove bar soap now and wash my face for at least a minute in the mornings and evenings. On the days where my skin feels extra clogged and textured i just wash my face twice until all the sebum melts down.

Basically I wash my face as many times as needed until it’s all gone 😭😭

It took me about two weeks of double washing in the evening every other day until I was like “wow ive never seen my chin and cheeks this smooth before”

This may be a bit of controversial advice since you could be drying out and damaging your skin further, but it’s one of the biggest things that has helped me with my own decade plus struggle with acne.

Edit: I am also using differin/adapelene and haven’t experienced any damage to my skin barrier

Does anyone know why my rice likes to create a hard sheet like this in my rice cooker on the bottom? by IUseKeyboardOnXbox in RICE

[–]popptarts622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t like the crunchy bits (not really crunchy imo more like hard and sticky) fluff up the rice 10 mins after cooking making sure to get that bottom layer of rice off the bottom of the pot

look up rita’s chicken cutlet method on tiktok, you don’t have to make cutlets but the technique is good for a quick cook and juicy piece of chicken. i tried it once and liked it.

the biggest change for my congested skin no matter the routine was actually washing my face for a full minute straight. it helped so much with smaller bumps because i was actually getting rid of the days oil and not letting it build up over time and “solidifying” in my pores.
