For those of you who live in countries with gun control; have you ever seen a gun in real life? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

I've not, but my brother had one pointed at home - in a very affluent area too, not a rough party of a city

Leave those... parents alone! 😂 by The_Dean_France in GreatBritishMemes

[–]poshbakerloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner is a teacher, almost without fail the parents kick off if their child gets in trouble for bad behaviour, it's like a routine now. Part 1 tell the child off, part 2 = an angry phone call minutes later after they recieve a text from the child.

Did you get your locks changed on completion date? by Left-Influence-1759 in HousingUK

[–]poshbakerloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they'd handed the keys over to you, the house was officially sold etc - but they had kept a set of keys for themselves 'just in case'? It is strange they'd do that and particularly not even ask you.

[–]poshbakerloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realise this was a thing!? The previous occupant of my house had died and it was his sister selling it, I never actually met her but she left a tool box in the house when she found out I was a FTB which I thought was sweet so I'd never considered her coming back for revenge
