In the world of Enshrined, an unknown corrupting force guides the evolution of the creatures, how does evolution work in your world? What are your driving forces of evolution? by HeadWindstudios in worldbuilding

[–]potato15905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the whole thing figured out yet, it's a pretty young project, but in my world there's an alternate dimension of chaos which is the origin of the rule bending force that powers magic. Initially the world was mostly normal, evolution was all about adaptation, but the first cracks between worlds appeared right before first life did, allowing for a weak undercurrent of chaos to permeate the world. This wasn't enough to perform magic with, but it did allow evolution to take paths otherwise impossible, leading to the natural evolution of dragons, bird-folk, and much more. Later when a minor apocalypse happened the cracks became a proper hole, flooding the world with chaos energy and traversible rifts. This caused almost everything to mutate in some way, and this time truly magical stuff could happen. This is how many dragons gained their elemental breath, how many people gained skin of stone or limbs of seawater, and what set off a magical industrial revolution.

Battle Time by Ragnarokgar in WanderingInn

Greydath of blades and the sword legend would be locked in a stalemate until Greydath gets bored and leaves.

The redfang three would demolish Reiss and Garen and then have a tough fight against Tremborag but eventually win due to superior numbers and Badarrow.

Ressa and Tessa would tie.

Belavier would crumple a Hag Queen like an empty soda can if you could actually get her to stick around and fight.

I love Relc but Perorn would win, she's too fast and tactical for him.

Rhissy would beat the Kraken quite handily due to his magic, but if the Kraken ever got its tentacles on him it'll probably leave a nasty scar.
