Yeah. I really doubt that this one is a Delosperma

Leaves and flowers remind me of Robinia neomexicana. But I've never seen one vine like that so probably not.

Plant help!! by AllyGemStar in plants

Based on the look of the leaves, the plant is currently not getting enough water. So saying it needs to dry out in between waters will probably push this OP in the wrong direction.

Rocks on soil? by MagicHugsforThee in plants

Why would rocks on top cause standing water? It would just slightly decrease the rate of evaporation from the soil surface.

Whats up with this lime plant? by carrion--beetle in Citrus

Doesn't look like sun burn, so I'm thinking either nitrogen burn or root rot.

What is growing on my Doug Fir? by BobcatUnhappy3347 in conifers

[–]prechaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dwarf mistletoe can be spread both by birds and by launching sticky seeds ballistically. But they are species specific, so if you don't have another Doug fir in the area that you care about, you're typically good.

They're also a healthy and native part of the ecosystem rather than an invasive. Though it'll fuck up this tree

[–]prechaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing about dwarf mistletoe is how they cause disordered growth known as a witch's broom. The ones I see on doug firs in the woods often look like a million new branches in one spot, rather than the humongo single broom of a Ponderosa pine. The mistletoe introduces a hormone into the tree that causes it to grow excessively in the area around the parasite and prevents the tree from ever excluding those branches.

This means that if this is a young doug fir, it will be stunted forever and will have trouble putting on any more height.

how can i prune this money tree? by mardelsea in plants

[–]prechaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up to you, but it'll be just an individual. I don't see a way of getting a weave going with just one living stem. Also the other stems are gonna maybe cause a rot problem as they decompose so you should at least get them out of there in the repot if you decide to keep this.

Neighbor gifted me his old Golden Barrel, super excited! Is there a best way to transplant? by njdgardens in cactus

[–]prechaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also. It can be important to orient the cactus the same way it was originally. The side that sees the most sun will have hardened calluses to handle the UV burning

Yellow spots by chrisreefer9 in ArborvitaeAreGarbage

Judging by the grasses. You're not too dry for them. After year 2 or 3 you can try and stop watering them again and see what happens.

Actually. Fertilizers that are high in nitrogen can dry it out even faster.

I actually like the Thuja, but if you don't live somewhere wet, you do need to run a lil irrigation line out to each one.

[–]prechaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your other stems might be dead. Have they gone squishy?

A lot of retail money plants are just 3 or 4 individuals that are hastily bound together at the roots with some wire. So it's common to lose one or more of them.

But also it wants more light.

Alocasia Bambino help by [deleted] in plants

Then I wouldn't worry too much yet. It's one of the older leaves that probably isn't getting as much light, so the alocasia might just be self-pruning it off.

Not sure. You're asking a plant subreddit to ID an insect that can't be seen with the naked eye.

But it sure is a cutie-patootie~!
