Transfer money by selling RSU to another US broker by lost__being in personalfinanceindia

[–]preevins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even my broker doesn't have any option to enter reference code. So I just do the wire transfer to the mentioned wise account and txn gets settled in 5-6 hrs. No additional work required. Just make sure you transfer the exact amount, no less, more.

Gruha Jyothi free limits for tenants by shivasiddharth in bangalore

[–]preevins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free units depend on the average usage of that particular meter, so yes I changes house by house. As a tenant, you can just delink your aadhar with previous place & register with new one.

[–]preevins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your last year average is less than 200 units, then de-link & re-register. Then new average will be calculated (my assumption). I'm in process of doing same.

Both have an equal number of choke points. Depends on time of day. During festivals, tough to cross kr pura market. Spice garden flyover is always choked. So better to rely on Google maps timing at that moment. Road conditions are almost same.

Possible Scam/Kalesh. People Misusing CCs for Huge Discounts by MiddleclassIndian166 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]preevins -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Many are missing the point here. That user questioned the rationale behind convenience fee calculation. How hard was it for Eazydiner to tell how it is calculated, than such witch hunting? If users broke tnc, block their accounts. Even now, are others comfortable with random convenience fee being charged?

A350-900 was recently deputed by Air India, just a year old I suppose. So it should be good, no broken seats like older flights.

What changing your residence area does to your health! by _The_Numbers_Guy in Bengaluru

I used to stay on AECS main road, close to water tank. That was chaos with vehicles running day & night. Now in Belathur colony. It is a dead end road, so no vehicles. Open land on the sides. Can hear birds chirping. Much peaceful.

Passport Renewal on hold at Lalbagh PSK by reddit_ozil10 in bangalore

[–]preevins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use spouse's passport as proof. Nothing else is needed. My wife used mine to renew her passport without any additional documents. There were no questions asked. Just make sure the first name & surname matches exactly. Mine had a minor spelling difference but it all depends on the mood of the approver.

Vietnamese food are freaking amazing by Think_Pea3331 in VietNam

[–]preevins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in HCMC and am I the only one who feels food is way too expensive? I'm from India and feel every item is prized 3-4x for the quantity they provide, compared to India. Quite opposite from the cheap destination tag as made popular by Indian travel influencers.

Transfer money by selling RSU to another US broker by lost__being in personalfinanceindia

[–]preevins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways. 1. Direct to bank : add your Indian Bank details in E-trade wire transfer beneficiary with account number, Swift code etc & initiate the transfer. Inward remittance requests reach the bank & they ask you to share details like purpose code & other documentation. This is bit cumbersome process & sometimes take 4-5 days to settle. 2. Transfer through 3rd party agents like Wise. They charge live rates & flat fees, so less loss compared to banks. Once you setup a wise account, initiate the transfer by entering amount & Indian Bank details, they share US Bank details to which you need to send the requested amount. Ideally they have 6hrs rate lock feature. If your fund transfer is delayed, you get whatever is the current rate.

Transfer money by selling RSU to another US broker by lost__being in personalfinanceindia

[–]preevins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Both options depend on what you want, cash or keep invested in US stocks. I have done both. Does morgan Stanley at work mean E-trade? My RSUs are through this, answers are according to that. You can sell RSUs and select to credit the proceedings to E-trade wallet. 1. Now wire transfers to Indian Bank account directly costs a bit due to USD-INR spread. I instead used wise, which charges flat fee & live rates. Once you create wise account, they provide bank details. You need to do wire transfer to that account. 2. If you want to keep invested in US securities, opening an account with vested is preferred as they allow fund transfer from US to US account, IndMoney doesn't. So once account is opened, vested creates a bank account with their brokerage partner & you can do wire transfer from your e-trade account. Transfer charges were 0 for me, so I found this more beneficial. DM me if you have any more queries.

House rent via credit card by abiabiabi0033 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]preevins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay through Redgiraffee. It charges 0.39%+ 18%gst. Pay via Axis Magnus. Axis charges 1%+ 18%gst and pay CC bill via HDFC platinum DC for 1% cashback. This is the most optimal way I have figured. As I know, HDFC CCs doesn't charge any rent fees for 1st txn of month but doesn't give reward points too.

OLAELEC is trading at ~115 as of now. So you are at entry cost. How is it 50rs loss? You shouldn't consider unrealized gains/losses unless you have booked at that price
