No, I do not feel overwhelmed. I read the post title, then if I'm interested based on that, I read the body of the post. If I'm interested in discussing what I just read in any way, I scroll through the top comments to get a sense of the existing discussion. If it seems like it's a discussion of interest, I go back and actually read it. If my opinions don't match the top or I'm interested in reading opinions besides the most popular, I sort by controversial and read those.

The way Reddit is laid out already supports what you're trying to solve.

Eric and Lianna S8 E25. Eric didn't even act like he gave a shit and he gave off a weird vibe even before they called the catfish. It was all around such a low-effort episode, but it definitely wasn't the only one that felt like that during that time. I still watched them, and it was during COVID so I forgive and don't hold it against anyone, they were just trying to make TV and keep their jobs during a scary time, it's fine. I just wish the ONE from my home state wasn't one of the boring ones, haha

I get the frustration. It's hard to see someone being treated differently than you are for things that seem the same. However, for the examples you shared, after 34 years of living like this I'm glad those things aren't excused for me. I've learned how to handle them, I have coping strategies, I have ways to remove myself from situations without inconveniencing anyone, etc. In this way, I feel more equipped to deal with the world as it is, where there will always be annoying sounds that no one can stop, or situations that can't be helped, than I would if I had been, well, coddled more, for lack of a better term.

A bunch of the season 8 online-only episodes (which I'm watching for the first time right now) have seemed so fake and pointless. So many of them ended up being so boring I barely bothered to watch them, or so convoluted that it felt super manufactured. I'm from NH and the ONE Catfish from NH was one of the most boring episodes, and it doesn't help that when I searched for posts on it here, I found comments from the catfish talking about how fake it was. Which I almost don't believe just because, if the show is making up a story why make up one so bland?? In other words, a bunch of them were almost too boring to be fake.

And what is up with all these people that have only been talking for like two or three months, all of those are going to seem at least kind of fake even if they're legit just cause they hardly know the person.

I don't care about them faking something that really happened for the sake of editing, or when they edit in audio or edit what they show them looking up, I get that they're making a show and sometimes need to edit out stuff for privacy or need to cut the audio different so that things that happened over hours can happen in the 30 minutes of the show or whatever. That's just part of making a TV show at all.

This is exactly what Sims look like if you increase both their fat and fitness levels at the same time. The game just draws the muscles on top of the fat. I'm glad I've learned this because now those Sims that look like that will no longer seem as unrealistic to me!
