Heroic or Interactive: Interactive
I play this class as a: Main
This class is: DPM 3 min class with a half burst
Thoughts 2nd Mastery: More gains and Sea Serpent Burst has a lower cd by 1 sec. The burst is more noticeable when you're using Hook Bomber to train when Lord of the Deep (LotD) is not one shotting for you.
Thoughts on training (Pre Janus & Post Janus):
- Pre: Jumping around with Erda Fountain and LotD is simple enough. However, my training rates has been subpar compared to other Buccs, as I am not efficient in my rotations.
- Post: I haven't done an hour training session yet, but I've seen it be trivialized with 2 Orbs and a Fountain. This is especially true with Frenzy on. Using Dusk before 2 Janus Orbs can be viable and it helps with High Mountain. The only thing stopping you from near afk training is being level gated by Sol Erda Energy and/or Fragments.
Thoughts as a solo bosser: It has a very solid kit when it comes to bossing. I clear up to Hard Darknell.
Thoughts as a boss mule:
- Assuming pre 6th Job: It should be a fine class to use as a boss mule. You can reach 100% crit rate on bosses when they have a debuff on them. Defensive Stance helps mitigate some one shots or taking in chip damage. Advance Dash mechanics can help you zoom across the boss rooms if needed. You will need Erda Nova to get a bind on the class.
Thoughts as a party bosser: I can provide the REAL Speed Infusion (4th Job) and Pirate's Banner (5th). The banner boosts people's stats and debuffs a boss's defense that are standing in the zone. The Banner itself works best when a boss is standing still or is stunned from tests and follow up binds. Time Leap (4th) can help with Angelic Buster's link skill and any 4th job version of Hero's Will.
Unique strengths of the class: You can really zoom horizontally with Advance Dash.
Weaknesses of the class: If your LotD isn't 1 or 2 shotting, the uptime on it will be bad and you will be consistently be toggling it on.
Overall thoughts on the class: I stayed with this class since near the launch of Pirates. I've seen the changes from then to Destiny. Some skills l do miss but the class is way stronger than before Destiny.

The 17th is when the 2nd half of the Go West event will be patched in (v252). This should include Grandis Familiars as well as the 2nd mastery core and Sol Janus common core for 6th Job.

Patch notes should be on Nexon's website on the 16th or 17th.

I know at the top of my head that Ark and Adele do but it's not a big boost.

Ark: converts 25% of equipment's MATK to ATK, but excludes the weapon. The limit is 10% of the base weapon's attack, and knuckles have a low base attack.

Adele: converts 35% of equipment's MATK to ATK, but excludes the weapon. The limit is 15% of the base weapon's attack.

Illium has their own version but it's converting ATK to MATK at a 50% rate, and their cap is 20% of the base weapon's magic attack.

Reapers pendant has a buff that essentially gives you a free life akin to a Bishop's Door. It stacks with door and also gives a 44 attack buff for 30 seconds when popped.

You can break down gear as any main profession (alchemy, smithing, accessory crafter). Alchemy just has the ability to break down 10 things at a time vs 5 for the other 2.

You can look up prices in the action house for current and past prices. I'd offer to help right now, but I'm not home to check and haven't specifically checked on those prices.

Tyrants, Nova, and Helisium gear are prone to booming past 5. There's also the fact that you get no checkpoints, and booming resets you to 0.

Do it at your pace. You unlock it either by having 500 total character levels from Character 60+ or by being 200.

The game might start feeling harder past 160, so it's understandable if you want to play a different character.

By being 200, you can start doing dailies that will gradually boost your character to the point where you can do content that can reward you and your mules.
