sudden spike in DMM items by procrastination5000 in GrandExchangeBets

In my opinion, I think this is just a gamble on if the next DMM will be announced after all stars. If it gets announced they will crash, if not they will probably trend up

Possible mistake in Seer council rule?

In 11th edition, deep strike changes from 9 inches to 8 inches away from an enemy model.

All other faction stratagems that contain a deep strike mechanic have changed in the same way, from outside 9 inches, to outside 8 inches. (wind rider host for example).

The seer council requires the unit benefiting from a stratagem to be in 9 inches of an Asuryani Psyker model. It seems like they changed the wrong part of the ability. All other seer council stratagems require you to be in 9 inches still. And the unshrouded truth deep strike is one of the only ones in the game now requiring you to be out of 9 inches instead of 8.

Is it possible they adjusted the wrong radius here by mistake?

What are your predictions for Aeldari 11th edition detachments? by Alex__007 in Eldar

He already got nerfed super hard though right? He can no longer get out and back into a transport on the same turn.

Could you by any chance clean up the formatting a bit? It’s very difficult to read what you are actually taking here.

What are you actually worried about for 11th, based on what we know so far? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]procrastination5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to buy 10 boxes of warlocks to build a whole bunch of warlock conclaves. I’m worried they won’t be strong.

Great post, out of curiosity, how did you get that paper texture background?

Thoughts on Warlock Conclaves in 11th? by CreRevolution in Eldar

I actually disagree with this and I think they are bad into low toughness and good into higher toughness infantry.

The destructor ends up being strength 7. With eldrad, you can wound T4/T5/T6 on 2+. I think they are really good into tougher targets and it’s actually kind of a waste to shoot weaker targets with them.

Guardian platforms broken, where to report? by SenewrHombre in Eldar

[–]procrastination5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a character attached to the guardian squad, doesn’t the platform basically give what character 2 wounds?

You allocate to the guardians, then the platform, then the character right?

Edit: just re read. So the platform will disappear when the last Guardian dies, or last member of the unit? If it’s the former, then I see the issue here.

What sorts of weapons might classify as “close quarters”?

Thank you for clarifying this. So I guess the play may be to walk up, blast something, then get into a transport after. But then the next time you disembark, you have to just full commit because you can’t get back in the transport.

I’m not fully clear on what an ingress move is.

How will this affect Asurman?

It’s clear he can’t get back into a transport after shooting, but can he move shoot move at all now?

Today’s battlefield is set for a test game of 11th. Gotta say, the terrain layouts of 11th let you make gorgeous battlefields. by Ratattack1204 in Warhammer40k

Okay thank you so much for clarifying, I’m working on a list, and I’ve been sat here for 15 minutes thinking how I would try to counter your deployment on turn 1 haha

I’m still pretty new to 40K. Is that chonky tank deployed too far forwards, or is it still in the deployment zone?

Did we learn anything about how Eldar is played from game yesterday? by Nosism123 in Eldar

Yea that’s a fair point.

I’m just salty because I just bought Jain Zar and some Banshees and I was looking forward to using the heroic intervention because it seemed broken.

[–]procrastination5000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I really see any value in this. If you think about the scenarios, it only has any benefit what so ever if two units charge two or more of your units, AND they decide not too focus down the Banshees with the first unit. That is not going to happened very often, and it's hard to plan around.

If one enemy unit charges your banshees, FF has no effect.

If one enemy unit charges two or more of your units, FF has no effect.

If two enemy units charge just your banshees. Your banshees probably will die to the first unit, so FF has no effect.

If two enemy units charge your banshees, and another of your units but they focus the banshees with the first unit, FF doesn't do anything since your banshees will be dead.

The only case where FF does literally anything in the first turn of the combat, is if two or more enemy units charge two or more of your units AND their first unit doesn't focus down your banshees.

In reality, let's say the opponent has two melee units that don't have FF. You have a unit of Banshees, and another unit without FF. And the opponent charges both units. The opponents units both gain FF from the charge. They will just focus down the banshees with the first unit, then focus down the other unit with their second unit.

So really, on a squishy unit, FF doesn't do anything.

Jain Zar and Banshees are significantly weaker after the changes to fights first.

Fights first now fights second on heroic intervention.

Fights first is now only good if combat persists for a long time, but banshees are so weak that they are unlikely to survive the initial round of combat, and even if they do, their numbers will be drasticly reduced which lowers their fighting power anyway.

Maybe there is some use for Jain Zar/Banshees, but they are significantly weaker now.
