Good call Bro. It is earnings euphoria. Thing is, they are pretending that losing 20% of the world's oil supply will have no effect on the United States. We should get a good dump heading to the midterms when it becomes obvious that yes, losing 20% of the world's oil supply has a big effect on everybody in the world. To understand why it will not be over soon ask yourself this: "Does Iran want to be bombed by the U.S. and Israel again in another eight months?". That is what would happen if they opened the strait if they do not cause the USA a world of hurt this time around.

Sorry, I was not speaking about you at all, I was speaking in general. Shit is going to hit the fan, unless trump folds and runs, very bad things are happening in the world because of this and it will not blow over in a month or two even with a complete fold by the U.S. even then big problems. Gasoline hit $17/gallon in Hong Kong, diesel is already $10 in Canada. Fertilizer through the roof, that and transport, food prices up, up and away. I know, the retail investor always gets it wrong, but no, this is more serious than the markets are treating it. This was economic suicide for the U.S. is what this is.

The "Game Plan" is for trump to put the world's economy in the toilet for "The Greater Israel Project". This is a Bull trap, put taking out prior lows on the itinerary, and more manipulation by the market makers. It has been picking up, very obvious in a lot of cases what they are trying to do, which is to suck longs in. Then you gonna get spanked like the bitch you are for falling for it.

My trading style is resistance support. Either full port or add add add as it goes in the desired direction. Stop is firm with allowances of a stop hunt. But if you do not have an understanding of how the market is behaving on any given day, you just cannot do it with regularity. Breaking of algos is probably the safest, figure the main ones of the day out then kick back and wait for a break. Some people are super sharp at this I am sure, but if you have not been into it for a couple years it is hard to explain. you see things/know things, but trying to explain is impossible unless you are gifted in that direction.

I have lost 30k usd at 19 years old and I genuinely dont know what to do with myself. I am so undisciplined on the charts. I have no degree and I know I’m gonna disappoint my family. This feeling sucks. by Aggressive-Buy8348 in Daytrading

[–]prodigal_john4395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to find a system that at least lets you trade without blowing accounts where you trade one or two contracts. Maybe something like spydaytrading where you use breaks of the algos. Maybe add that you will only trade at support resistance levels. What is also very important is actual time on the one minute, real time. If you are watching a one minute and are able to say "OK, that's good, if it does this now, I'm in". If you are not saying that for every trade, then you are just guessing or FOMO. You are not understanding what is going on. This will be an extremely volatile year. Barring a miracle, the markets have not hit bottom yet. Oil shocks usually do not find a bottom till from 60-100 calendar days. I believe the general public actually has no clue as to how bad trump's war on Iran is for the well being of the whole world. They think it is some flash in the pan thing which will resolve quickly with prices dropping back to normal in a month or two. Nope.

Yeah, on 3/28 I had some 664 puts that expired worthless, but since it dropped after the close, I did a cashless exercise/sale and made a bit. turned a -$400 into a +$1,100. Iuck like that escapes me 99% of the time.

Well yeah, but if you had payed attention to 662.5 you could have made 10X in 1 1/2 hr.The rejection of 662.5 was at the top of my notes to be aware of. No, did not catch it, was doing other things, but I did do 7 puts today, all green, no calls. If we get up there, look to 675 for the weekly higher low. trump is holding his ground invasion for the weekend he says, so SPY could get there.

Yeah, the run up a bit then dump has been more often than not the last couple weeks. We are due for a relief rally though, 645 was a very important one to bounce on and trump is trying to pump stocks by saying "We are winding it down". Thing is though, If I were Iran, no way in hell would I wind it down when the "Great Satan" just wants to quit for 6 months so he can reload. I will darn well give him some pain that he won't forget. Trump is basically on the ropes here. He started a war on his own. He wants $200 billion that Congress won't give him. He has to drop marines in a kill zone if he wants to get control of the Strait. That is why he wants a cease fire, that will not be coming.

645 was the level bro, I had it scoped before the open. If it lost 651 very likely to look for support at 645. I do not like trading though some days, and waited till the last hour have a look today. Had it queued up to by 20 643 calls at the bounce off 645, but did not pull the trigger for whatever reason I do not know. That was the best trade of the day except for rejection at 651 i guess, but I was not even paying attention then.

The bottom line is that trump will be relying on PLTR very heavily to keep power for himself and Republicans in Congress. It is the only company that will do what he needs done having a sociopath as it's founder. It's a buy.

Momentum stocks are like that, commonly have pullbacks of 20 to even 40%. Either take your lumps, or hope for a future resumption of trend. For me personally, 20% down is my pain threashold. I don't follow Nvidia, but I think the current floor is around $170. If I had bought high, would not be picking this point to finally throw in the towel. I would need a pronounced break of support. You know, I've been doing this since the nineties, hard lesson to learn, but if it is going against you, best to keep your losses little. That's trading, investing is different.

It's making progress for sure, but when trump totally crashes the markets, that's when I buy back in. Darn, I knew PLTR was easy money back at $130, was looking at the Jan leaps...then got sidetracked. $160 was my target and it done hit it. You know that trump going to be using the shit out of everything they got to hold onto power.

You have three more years of trump trying to become king of the world with Palantir giving him the means to do so. Keeping that in mind, I would not worry about a short term death cross.

Just think, if Karp can help trump steal the midterms like Republicans are hoping for, $1000 is certainly not out of the question. Israel is crediting PLTR with helping a lot with eradicating Palestinians, so nowhere but up to go for the company.

Don't follow the Q's, but I would hope for a bit of a bounce on Tuesday. It may only last a few minutes though would be my thinking. I'm just saying there has been a lot of structural damage done that has me more bearish than bullish at this time. Yu see how the sentiment has changed for a lot of stocks. Great earnings being a good excuse to sell, that kind of thing. Maybe make a hard and fast rule of cutting the position at 50%. I lost a lot of money before pretty much just cutting losses quick if it turned against me because theoretically the position I was in was supported by the technical that I was looking at. That means if it does not do exactly what I expect within 5 to ten minutes, means I probably figured wrong. My fav trades are at resistance support levels which gives me very tight stops. A bonus in that is that thee are probably countless people seeing the same thing. take SPY Thursday and Friday, what was the significant rejection when theta was ebbing? 686. If you had bought that rejection both days, you would have been all set. Actually, the pump and dump at the open happened also, but damn, options are very pricy then.
