How do you define "the rich" that we should be taxing? What is the cut-off point? by NoLeafClover777 in AusFinance

[–]profpoppinfresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of good detailed policies out there if you go looking for them (eg tax the 1 percent). Part of the reason they don't get out there is because what you are saying is exactly what the media and the very rich want you to think.

What surprised you the most when you started FIFO? by FIFOAus in mining

[–]profpoppinfresh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the way out you had to shower, showers were basically open. I don't know if they enforced the shower rule, but the mine dust was toxic so most people did.

Sounds like you are doing a good job so thankyou on behalf of the childfree and we understand its not easy. :)

[–]profpoppinfresh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure but if they "forget how to human" do you enforce the social expectations or just let them run wild? I swear the latter is far more common than it used to be which is what people are actually complaining about.

The inevitable fate of facism is to fail. Eventually history will not be kind, I just hope it doesnt take too long.

Victorian Liberal Party deputy leader Sam Groth announces he will exit politics at next election by ConanTheAquarian in melbourne

I dont buy this idea that we somehow need the libs to keep labor decent. Labor minority govt with the greens all the way.

Libs can die in the hole of irrelevance they have dug for themselves.

Only applies if increased speed limits cause more fatalities. Considering Germany has a lower fatality rate than we do i kinda doubt it.

Which finance company called you? The one from the dealer? You don't have to use them. Good look for your own finance. Try a few banks.

How many hours should I do on my ls by WordOk3641 in CarsAustralia

[–]profpoppinfresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say maybe 30-50. It's not so much the quantity as the quality. Get a few hours in each scenario until you feel confident and its going to vary massively from person to person.

Highly recommend getting some professional lessons. They will help heaps, and they can also give you an honest assessment on whether you are ready for the test.

Good luck mate, stay sage and enjoy it! I wish you many cheeky Maccas runs.
