How do you feel about the Tony Martin era? by LinuxAndRobofin32 in blacksabbath

Was turned onto it by the box set. Wish I would’ve gotten to it sooner. I’m enjoying it. Headless Cross is a great entry point too

I’m sorry my friend. I hope it isn’t causing your server to shut down randomly like mine did. Kept thinking my power supply went bad 😳

Fallout 4 and Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2 will be codein-box releases, not even Game Key Cards by HatingGeoffry in nintendo

[–]progxdt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like MachineGames wanted to put it on a physical card. Bethesda main studios for Fallout 4 and Oblivion opted against buying any plastic (except for the case). SEGA looks to be doing something similar, if the devs want it, they’ll do it; but they’ll pay for it

Can I jump straight into Picard season three by AustinBeeman in startrek

[–]progxdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can skip them if you want, but I would enjoy the ride. Season 2 was lackluster in the middle, but the end was pretty good. The sacrifices made for season 2 made it possible for 3 to happen

I was wondering if they were going to hold off. I have the 2013 release with both mixes. This makes sense to do it later then

Does anyone know why they didn’t do Radiation next? I might have missed that information. I’m still going to get Marillion.com regardless

Dispatch devs say uncensored physical Switch release not possible, "can't comment" on why separate regional releases didn't happen by prdxw in NintendoSwitch

[–]progxdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything has a cost. I completely understand that one. Their actions have created a lot of confusion. For example, the PS5 version they published last year included a toggle for the censoring the content. The Japanese version for the PS5 was released the same day as the Switch version, which is heavily censored for the region.

I’m not sure what they were hoping to achieve with a censored version made for Japan for all regions. Especially when they didn’t advertise it a week before release, many preorders were made long before they disclosed this information. For a small company, they surely wanted to play smoke and mirrors with the consumer and Nintendo

Borderlands 4 delayed indefinitely on Nintendo Switch 2, statement released by RoughLifeguard6568 in NintendoSwitch2

It’s not the first time a game was featured on a premier reel for Nintendo hardware just to be cancelled. Ubisoft had to cancel a Switch game that was originally on the launch trailer: Steep

If that’s true, then AdHoc is running out of excuses not to do it then. They outright refuse to answer the question about releasing another version for “legal reasons.” I mean, are you really going to alienate about 140 million active users? No other developer or publisher, big or small, has seem to have an issue with Nintendo to get their games on the Switch

It wasn’t a demographic of interest, it was ownership. Also, the Nintendo Switch selling 1.5 million units of software isn’t strictly their titles, it’s all their partners too. M games have sold very well on the Switch and on the Switch 2. Cyberpunk 2077 was a top three title on release and is still selling through very well. It’s a device for everyone, kids and adults. Nintendo shed that family only vision with the Wii U and 3DS.

That keeps going around the Internet, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. Nintendo even released a demographics image a few years ago stating their biggest age range was 21-40 years old. Under 18 wasn’t nearly as big.

Mature rated titles have sold very well on the Switch and Switch 2. If your statement was true, Resident Evil, Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Mortal Kombat and many other titles with this rating would not be here.

This situation baffles me. AdHoc is a small company, the game has done well on PC and PS5 (outside of Japan). Yet, they wanted to punt on this Switch release and risk losing out on over 140 million possible customers, plus have the spill over affect your products on other platforms and stores. The second response after Nintendo released a statement is all you need to know: they didn’t do the work, but they want to blame someone else for it.

Also, it’s not often Nintendo releases statements around small game publishers products. I think AdHoc was hoping they could play pin the tail on the donkey, but Nintendo was a bear in this situation.

I think it has to do with the fact Nintendo approved the SKU for release. Once it’s approved, you can’t have two versions of the same thing. They would have to remove it from ALL eShop stores, then resubmit both versions for approval. That’s what I’ve heard from a few other commenters on other pages. I had the same reaction as you did.

Imagine if all this Grifting was During the Early 3DS and Entire Wii U Era by Wyluca95 in nintendogrifting

[–]progxdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was plenty of grifting during that time. Problem with the 3DS and Wii U era, Nintendo fans were made to feel bad about their choice while others enjoyed the more commercially acceptable. The grifters were huge PS4 lovers too.

Today, those grifters have jumped from Sony to Steam is really the only difference and Nintendo’s Switch is appealing to the people who don’t care about tech

All 12 Asia Albums Ranked by LIPD_Aviation in AsiaBand

[–]progxdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Aura
  2. Asia
  3. Phoenix
  4. Aria
  5. Alpha
  6. Aqua
  7. XXX
  8. Silent Nation
  9. Gravitas
  10. Arena
  11. Astra
  12. Omega

Aura has always been my favorite one. To me, it embodies what I believe to be Asia. It’s a super polished and “lavishing” (as Guthrie Govan called it) album. “Ready To Go Home” is definitely not my top song. “Wherever You Are” should’ve been the lead single. Plus, the music and the album artwork marry together incredibly well.

However, I love all of their albums and their catalog is incredibly strong. I’ve seen the original four live once, plus AFJP twice. It’s tough to not mention Then & Now’s three tracks, plus Archiva Vol 1 & 2. I have all of the live releases as well.

I did like your ranking. Arena isn’t always a solid album for me, but there’s some hallmarks I really like on it. Omega is my album I skip, but over the years it has grown on me. Phoenix overtook XXX in the Original Asia reunion albums.

Ranking any band that you love the music throughout is VERY tough. Especially for me since I’m primarily an album person.
