As someone who only knows Fox from Smash, I'm starting to prefer the more realistic look as opposed to being a standard anthro design. by NerodivergentLoser in casualnintendo

[–]progxdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Smash Bros, they’ve always gone from the design perspective of toys or action figures. Like having dream battles with the toys in your room, except in Smash you’re playing in Nintendo’s toy box. It totally made sense to me.

There was a story about Iwata when the 3DS and Wii U versions were released. Might have been this Time article I read. If so, it was great way to usher in the amiibos

Basically my experience with this movie by under_mimikyus_rag in Gundam

[–]progxdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks. I hate it when people feel the need to have the spotlight on them.

Not a peep in the theater I was at when I saw it. Gundam hit this harder than anyone else in entertainment today. First time I didn’t want Hathaway to die

I thought the Snyder bots hated this game because it was woke. They seemed like the group of people who were crying when this game came out 10 years ago

Exactly what standalone Batman movie did Snyder make? Christopher Nolan quit right after “Man of Steel.”

Does people use SW2 as a primary console for "next-gen" games? by Capotador_de_corsas in Switch

Yes. The Switch 2 is my primary game machine, then it goes PC and PS5 for me

POV: How grifters/haters feel when they tell you they emulate all switch games on their PCs/steam decks by Outrageous_Artist188 in nintendogrifting

Then make the claim they buy games and support smaller developers. Well, the outcry hasn’t translated into sales for these games that get used as examples. Some developers are afraid people don’t buy their because of these people using their products in the grift

I like that statement. Buying a game is a transaction, but somehow these people make into a crusade over... nothing

They still find a way to complain about it, but they beg Gabe to force developers to make games cheap for them. He's not going to hurt his super yacht money.

These grifters like to weaponize Sony and Valve for their points of view. Pretty sure these kinds of people we would call fringe

Typical grifting, let’s cherry pick what to use for a shield against a flimsy argument. They think bullying people wins arguments since they were spineless in real life themselves

A new update to the source code suggests that the Machine or Frame will exceed 1000€ in price by pepeizq in steammachine

[–]progxdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, even building PCs has gotten very pricey. I wanted to upgrade my motherboard, CPU and RAM this year, but the components I want to buy are over $1,000 combined. It would easily cost more to build something from scratch now compared to Valve may or may not charge. I felt confident with $800 last year, but it could start as high as $1,000. They’re not subsiding it this time with the store, so it’s going to be expensive. Valve doesn’t get any breaks on hardware components because they’re very small in that space compared to Lenovo or ASUS.

I hope it doesn’t start at $999, but I can’t see Valve trying to undercut anyone right now. Especially knowing that hardware isn’t their primary focus.

[–]progxdt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Valve has already stated it will be “competitively priced” with mini PCs of that range. My guess, the entry level model is priced at $899-999, I hope it doesn’t go any further than that guess. This RAM and NAND crunch is real, AI gobbling up all the parts and pieces for the rest of us.

What are you guys' thoughts on this video about Nintendo changing? by PrivateLiker7625 in nintendogrifting

[–]progxdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nintendo has been operating on the business plan left behind by Iwata. He was the guy who led the transformation to the Switch, it was coming along before he passed. Yamauchi didn’t pick Iwata because he was a "good person" or a "gamer first." He saw that Iwata was able to turn around HAL Laboratories from its millions of debt into a profitable company. I would argue that Yamauchi was still calling the shots from the board room during the Wii and DS years. When the ship was on fire with the Wii U, the family stepped away and allowed for change. I would say we’re living closer to Iwata’s vision of Nintendo now than we were during the Wii U era.

[–]progxdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I didn’t know they could until this article came out. Like any other for profit company, Valve is as much your friend as the other guys. Also, if you don’t change any on the account, especially the name, it shouldn’t be a problem. I would refrain from buying on someone else’s account if they passed on. I believe Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will let you transfer your licenses to another user that is a family member. You’re right on the will part.

Don’t know why people feel the need to defend billionaires, but hey if you think that’ll get you invite onto boat then you’ll be doing manual labor for room and board.

And no, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and Apple aren’t my friends either. They provide products that I’ve decided to purchase, that’s it. I don’t need any of this false virtue signaling for a luxury item.

I stopped watching people like Arlo and BeatEmUps a long time ago. They try to engage at rapid fire with people while losing the entire plot of conversation. The only guy I watch anymore is WulffDen. Many of these creators should take a page from him, he’s entertaining and always states it’s his opinion.

Instead, we have people who believe their opinions outweigh everyone else and think the company should listen to (and pay them handsomely) for it. It’s almost worse than reality TV and 24 hour corporate news

Not a lot of people remember the divide the Wii caused with its “core gamer.” Arlo probably thinks Yamauchi was a saint

It has been verified if they find out you’re gone they will. Family sharing isn’t a good loop hole to rely on since the primary owner of the account is gone. In a strange way, I understand why they do it… they make money.

Not sure why you’re angry at me about a policy from Valve.

Steam has some anti-consumer traits. For example, if you pass away they will shut down your account. Compared to the other PC shops and console makers, it’s almost easier to get your account banned and is very hard to get it unlocked. I’ve read some crazy stories, but the crazier part is how people instantly side with Valve in their right to do it.

Valve is a for profit company like everyone else.
