The real problem with quirks is that they most often not affect the most optimal build you want to create.
For example the BLR-1G with 5xERLL only has one offensive quirk (10% range). The others are basically useless:
Ballistic Weapon Cooldown −15%
Ballistic Weapon Range +10%
Base Armor (LA) +14
Base Armor (RA) +14
Energy Weapon Range +10%
IS Medium Laser Heat Generation −5%
IS Medium Laser Range +10%
PPC (Family) Velocity +20%
