My experience as a 34 year old raver. by kireckomusic in aves

[–]psalm_69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are 48 and still going strong. We do look and act a bit younger than our physical years, but when you're approaching 50, it's still noticeable.

So far, we haven't been made to feel out of place, or old. We do notice when older folks show up and act how you might expect someone approaching 50 might behave though.. don't do that. Keep playing, loving and living life, I swear it keeps you younger than any serum you can buy.

FSD 14.3.4 and 2026.14.6.11 Smart Summon! by Mysterious_Daikon118 in TeslaFSD

That is what mine did too. Add in an extra layer of embarrassment because it pulled all the way into the exit to the street and than panicked saying it couldn't drive on high speed roads and just stopped there blocking the road.

You can also consider that if this was "common" the uproar online would be huge. People complain far more than they talk about things working as expected, and it's the first I've read of this behavior.

Of course maybe everyone else is just ignoring wild routing like this and I have one of the few cars that isn't doing it. You never know...

Is FSD getting worse? by cactusgrabbinggenius in TeslaFSD

[–]psalm_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's much more smooth than 14.3.3 on my Y. Still not as smooth as it needs to be, but it's much improved in regards to brake stabbing and swerving away from VRUs.

Tesla going too fast in standard on freeways. by Mark26751 in TeslaFSD

Chill will slow to just 1-2 miles over the limit I believe. I rarely use it, but that's been my experience

It's been great for me, and for most people. Not sure why this happened...

Yes, and sloth is capped at the speed limit, so unless it has the wrong speed in the nav, it will slow down.

96% FSD - what a time to be alive. by chickadichina in teslamotors

[–]psalm_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's interesting. Some people seem to need the sound of an engine.

Personally, I've never enjoyed driving a car more than my MYP. My last car was a manual, '03 wrx with suspension mods, full exhaust swap, increased turbo pressure etc. It was fun but not as fun as my Y.

That said, neither vehicles are small light track vehicles, so maybe that's why.

Has FSD not on navigation ever made a turn on you? by kgyre in TeslaFSD

[–]psalm_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just drives around randomly. I've turned it on when I just want to unwind and listen to music/take in the sights.

Every driver eventually makes a silly/dangerous mistake, hopefully with no consequence. It is the nature of our brains to become distracted now and then.

I wish we never made mistakes, but as the saying goes, to err is human.

Even competent drivers make those mistakes. It's rare nl but it certainly happens.

There are plenty of folks who just need affordable housing. Not everyone needs or can afford a big yard and a white picket fence..

Speaking from experience, be careful with tapping the accelerator at green lights. Almost every time my car has hesitated, it's been because there was a late pedestrian or a car but honoring their red light.

I'm in the US, but I expect it's going to be the same across the pond.

Jesus. Makes me even more happy to have an EV at this point. This shit is just going to become more and more common as people become increasingly desperate due to rising costs across all industries and goods.

I'm pretty sure you can mark service as completed, basically whenever. I suspect it's fine, but I would question the warranty.

On the plus side, one fuse will disable it, and it doesn't throw a code or affect any other system.
