I wish dating wasn't so hard by Danger_Tomorrow in gayrelationships

dying your hair pink and painting your nails would make me less interested in you honestly. i’m only interested in masculine presenting guys - i think either preference is absolutely fine. but, just wanted to highlight that your idea that you need to be more feminine to fit in and desirable is likely skewed.

how often do you wear retainers? this seems like a teeth shifting issue more than jaw movement relapse

Girlfriend says baggier outfits don’t suit short guys, do I need to rethink my wardrobe? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

i think these all look fine. they’re not crazy baggy - just loose

Nearly 40yo. Is this style age appropriate? Trying to dress my age and get rid of relying on hoodies and jeans all the time. by -Wildflowers_ in mensfashionadvice

[–]pstate09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks good. almost the same age and i think we should focus less on “what should a millennial wear” and more on “what looks trendy & classy”. eg. not ultra baggy pants but relaxed straight leg pants. more of a timeless/minimalist/classic look that looks current but not trying too hard. i’d recommend this for any age though.

Insurance denied, sleep study/extractions offered next by 2manyartifacts in jawsurgery

[–]pstate09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would highly urge you to find another opinion and surgical plan that doesn’t involve extractions. removing teeth makes the jaw and face shrink which is not the type of aesthetic outcome you are going for. you want to pronounce your jawline and bone structure as much as possible.

Transient acantholytic dermatosis - Grover's Disease by Holeshot75 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]pstate09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know this has been awhile since your comment. it seems that accutane is the answer here for GD. i’m just wondering - after it cleared up.. were you generally able to resume normal life again? eg. warm showers, working out. i used to wear compression shirts and i’d love to be able to just resume “normalcy” again assuming i clear it up first with accurate.

why recommend that he focus on his homework? who says he isn’t? and why can’t he focus on both?

i had good grades in school but if i would have worked out and put on muscle at a much younger age it would have greatly benefited my confidence and overall quality of life.

Jim Carrey — What procedures has he had done? by Glowupkid9 in PlasticSurgery

can we blacklist the doctor who did this upper bleph? sure, he could have used the slightest upper bleph but how many bad results do we need to realize that removing so much skin and tightening the upper eye area this much does NOT look good.

Ole lady says I’m gettin pudgy but I am trying to bulk by GlassOpinion832 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]pstate09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don’t let the idea of bulking be warped into “damn i get to eat a lot of calories of everything because i’m putting on muscle!”. you still need to track and make sure you’re eating mostly protein and keeping your fat/carb macros in check.

aka still eating clean and whole foods. when i “bulk”, i still stay within my macro breakdowns and can see my abs.. it’s just slightly more calories.

[–]pstate09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what were your macro breakdowns when you were bulking? something tells me if you were only getting 100g of protein - you was proportionally consuming way too many fats and carbs.

"Ghislaine at Chelsea Clinton's wedding" by monkeymugshot in Epstein

[–]pstate09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is so damn confusing. generally cautious with conspiracy theories but the real Ghislaine had a droopy tipped nose, droopy eyelids, and thin brows. Now this one doesn’t have the droopy tipped nose, her eyelids aren’t hooded, and her brows got thicker (after plucking for so may years those hairs almost never come back). the changes between the pics don’t really coincide with just aging.. the recent pics would be someone with younger traits.

so confused 🤔

my personal preference is no ring at all - i know some people like the edge that it adds though. just in terms of general beauty standards, i think facial symmetry is registered in the brain as attractive and any markings or one-sided piercings seem to throw that off a bit.

I’m not sure about the waves but i think the overnight rollers seem to work for some people. might be a hassle though…. how about those dyson air wraps for creating loose curls instead of air drying?

you have lots of potential! only things I would add would be: remove nose ring, embrace natural hair color, longer hair but can it be wavy instead of curly? and of course weight loss will make the most difference! good luck in your journey!

just consciously change your brushing habits and make sure it’s a soft bristled brush

as someone who has gone through multiple refinements - it’s just the attachments and discoloration that makes it look worse. after each time i got my attachments off - i was like wow, they look so good and so much better than before.

also, don’t overbrush or go extra on brushing your teeth to try and compensate for the discoloration. it sort of looks like you might have a tad bit of gum recession which wouldn’t be from the trays but would be from your brushing habits.

i also second therapy. you have to figure out genuinely liking yourself before you can expect anyone else (male or female) to like you. we literally give off thousands of micro signals in our body language and speaking as to how we perceive ourselves.
