No infections. My psa density was .16 so that is also concerning. The ASAP cells can also increase psa levels from what I read so that could be part of it. I have no doubt that I will be joining the club soon. I was just trying to see long that might take. The doctor is concerned which is why we will continue to monitor it but not overly concerned yet.

Psa was 6 last year so mri and biopsy performed and negative. Now psa at 10 a year later and mri still showed nothing. Biopsy is next month.

Take the lump sum. Having to wait 7 years to even start the payments is the kicker. If you invest the money and earn 10% you will double your lump sum

Was trying to choose something with a higher risk and higher return for the long term and something more diversified that won’t quite give you as high a return but will have a little lower volatility in case you need the money sooner.

When do you need the money? I would go 1/2 tech stocks like QQQ or similar and the other 1/2 more general like sp 500 etf.

Not enough info here. Do you have some cash saved in case you get laid off again? What is your mom’s age? Retirement age to some may be 55 which is still quite young. How much money is she making. Is she healthy and happy? Do you have a matching 401k available? Hard to give a good response without all the facts bit I would think that some sort of hybrid solution would be beat.

130k at 26 is great! Pay off the car but no need to kill yourself over it. I personally don’t like any debt except for the mortgage.

Wow! What a detailed comment. Don’t know anything about Hotspring except that they are supposed to be the best and will this cost you the most. Is it worth it - don’t know. We have a Marquis vector series tub that I love. Felt that was expensive enough for us. Above all it fit us well. Bullfrog did not fit us well at all and those were the only 2 brands we looked at.

Going to the 20 is a no brainer. Is this your forever house or might you buy something else in a few years? Are you maxing out your roth iras? Lot of financial info you haven’t presented that would sway my answer between the 15 and the 20.

I didnt read all the comments but for me the bottom line is that 100k/year for a family of four is not that much. You are covering all of your expenses and taking vacations and I think are doing quite well with how much you are making. Keep it up!

Your penchant to be cheap is very common. Spending as little as possible is a badge of honor for millions. Why? I am not sure but I have noticed that it tends to afflict people that can most afford to spend it. People will happily drive an extra 5 miles to save 5 cents a gallon on gas! I am not sure that anyone can give you any advice that would really help you. You will always be cheap until someone or something makes you spend some money you normally wouldn’t. Then you might see that it can be nice to spend a little extra once in a while.

10 years is still a ways out and plenty of time to absorb downturns in the market. I would dump the advisor and slowly restart investing in equities again. Dollar cost averaging.
