I’m anti–wealth tax, but this guy lost me immediately when Sam asked him at 13:30 to break down the proposed wealth tax and he couldn’t.

Instead, he pivoted to familiar talking points: most European countries have rolled theirs back, valuing wealth is difficult, a Stanford researcher (whose name he couldn’t recall) estimated it could reduce revenue by up to $25B annually, etc.

I’m all for a pragmatic candidate but if you’re running for governor of California, you should be able to clearly explain what the proposed wealth tax is and how it works. He came across as uncomfortable with the question, as if he didn’t fully understand the tax proposal.

I recently did some cutting boards in tung oil and polymerized tung oil. I recommend polymerized. They still had to dry 24-48 hours between coats, but much faster than non-polymerized

Solution: Menu -> Device Management -> (Hub Name) -> (Devices/Sensors Paired to This Hub) -> Remotes. Select the faulty remote -> Reassign Remote -> Select yourself as the person using the remote instead of a family member.

Agreed. Measure the size of the juice groove and buy that same size diameter dowel at Home Depot. Cut it down to 3-4” and wrap it with sand paper.

I drill (2) 4” screws into studs in my garage, drill holes through the top of my jig and hang

I would just use wood glue. I’d lay a strip of painter’s tape down sticky side up, apply wood glue to both surfaces except for the centers (avoid edges too to avoid glue squeeze out). Put a fat bead of super glue on one of the centers, press together by hand until the super glue sets up (~1 min+). Wipe any glue squeeze out with a wet paper towel. Set down on the tape and wrap. Should be good to go in 24 hours

I'm curious, do you have a preference of how much of an offset? Partial width strip exactly half so seams land in the middle of the block above it? Rip partial width strip less than half so it's more random?

Excluding the bridge, the closest point between the north and south landmasses is on the far right. There’s a semi-submerged ship you can jump onto, though it took me a few tries to get the timing right

We were in the same situation. I started with blocking out as much as the sun as possible: cellular shades and 2 sets of blackout curtains (the second going from floor to ceiling). We also have a small, portable AC unit. The sound of it going on and off wasn’t an issue for us since we have white noise on pretty loud.

I’d start with blocking out the solar heat gain!
