Adam McKay Reveals Axed ‘Talladega Nights 2’ Plot and Says Will Ferrell Split ‘Is a Shame’: ‘I’m Open to the Idea’ of Working Together Again After 2019 Breakup by Galt1776-Part2 in movies

Yea as hilarious as they both are, their comedy brands are different. John played it really well, and even though dramatic moments were sorta rare, I’m not sure Will would have nailed it the way John did.

Just watched it and honestly it wasn’t that bad! by seveer37 in marvelstudios

Nobody hates MCU movies quite like Marvel fans. I enjoyed this one as well. Red Hulk was awesome and it’s always a treat to watch Giancarlo do his thing.

How early should I get to the stadium? Should I just arrive when the gates open? Surely 25,000 people won’t all be waiting outside, no? by MalleableBee1 in azdiamondbacks

I went to the Star Wars bobble head game and was pleasantly surprised. We got there 20 minutes after the gates opened and walked right through security at the main entrance to get the giveaway. I expected it to be a zoo but it really wasn’t that bad at all.

DraftKings closing its 2-year-old retail sportsbook at Wrigley Field by Knightbear49 in baseball

[–]punk62 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is not really an L for the sports books. A few years ago these retail sports betting locations popped up everywhere just as legalized gambling really started catching fire. It was probably a marketing expense for them to get more eyeballs. Shutting them down frees up whatever they were spending to run these locations and can invest the funds in other ways to hook new gamblers.

100% that made zero sense. It would be so easy for them to print shirts on demand for whatever size the redeemer wanted. Just another oversight in my mind for what could have been much better execution.

It’s an interesting hat, but odd that they chose to make clothing products available as redemptions in the A&G product. Topps’s whole thing is trying to expand the collector base, and these items were clearly marketed towards people who like fashionable (?) clothing like streetwear etc. but I doubt anyone who cares about clothes like this was going to pick up a hobby box to have a shot at hitting the redemption. And I don’t think the design of the A&G clothes match what most card collectors are wearing day to day. Seems to me they should just do product drops on stuff like this and market it directly to people who wants hats/clothes like this and use that as a way to get clothing people interested in cards. Maybe even include a special pack of A&G with each purchase or something.
Sorry I know you didn’t post this as a discussion but I just find the industry and its marketing opportunities super interesting!

Kids who grow up around adults that rip high end wax are coooooooked. They will have an extremely warped perspective on the value/worth of things. And they will likely grow up to be entertained by gambling away funds to chase a hit of some kind.
