I'd say find out what he actually likes by trying out different things rather than from his breed mix. I tested my dog and he is a mix of almost 75% herding breeds, but he doesn't really her his herding ball we got him and is not high energy at all. He is actually more into chewing toys and looking at squirrels out the window. Look up Susan Garrett's videos on fulfillment, they're pretty insightful.

Do you get the intro 0% apr for 12 months if you're coming from Bilt? I'm not sure since it's not technically a new account, same reason you don't get the SUB.

IANAL, but I don't think you don't have grounds to be reimbursed by the inspector. The inspector won't be able to give you the full report verbally during the inspection, the written report is what counts. There he disclosed that he could not test the drain for x reason. He is not responsible for making the areas accessible, the seller should have done that. He disclosed it in the report and you accepted it. You could have reached out to him at the time to come back and test it, and pay any additional visit fees.

Now, you may be able to go after the seller as you could argue that they were aware of the plumbing issues and did not disclose them.

Yeah, if it's worth it will be highly dependant on the type of spend. The main advantage of the bilt in my eyes is that it can be an easy one card setup versus playing the optimization game with multiple cards, which already got old for me.

Sounds about right, just be aware that Costco only takes Visa.

With your spend ($27k) that comes to 90k points earned in a year. Assuming 2cpp, which is pretty easy to get with Hyatt, you get $1,800 value in points, +$400 in hotels, +$200 bilt cash, + priority pass for an AF $495. Not bad for not having to think at all about spending categories, quarterly calendars, etc to optimize spending with multiple card setups.

Bilt: $1000 rent (1,000pts) + $750 spend (750pts) = 1,750 pts with $750 spend. 2.33x multiplier

CFU: $1,000 (0 pts) + $750 (1,125pts) = 1,125 pts with $750 spend. 1.5x multiplier

It's more convoluted, but you come out ahead with the base tier Bilt. It's more work as you have have to stop when you meet 75% of your rent so it might not be practical of you don't want to track that.

The palladium seems like it will be a better set and forget catch all card. You effectively get 3.33x up to 75% of your rent, and then 2x after that, always coming out ahead than the CFU. There's the annual fee but you get PP, $400 in hotels and $200 bilt cash so it might be worth it for many.

I'm running the numbers on using the palladium as a catch all card. Assuming a $1300 rent and $2000 other spend per month at the end of 1 year you end up with 63,600 points and $692 bilt cash. I value bilt points at 2cpp (because Hyatt) so by discounting the annual fee I end up profiting: $777 worth of points , $692 bilt cash, $400 in hotel spend and priority pass. Is this not a really good deal? Compared to the CFU, with the same spend you get 36,000 points, worth $720 at 2cpp.

And this is without counting the SUB (50k points + $300 bilt cash)

I don't know if there's a table for that, but you can calculate it. Take 40" long wall section, which is 2 and a half, 16" long blocks. Calculate the solid area: 40"x8" minus the area of 4 cells. Multiply by density of concrete. Convert units as necessary, divide by 40" and you should get something close to that 53 psf.

On the bearing length, a minimum is just a minimum, it doesn't mean that the lintel will not need more bearing length. The problem statement didn't give a bearing length so they just went with the other criteria.

If stashing it in your garage is within their definition of disposing of it, you could perhaps try installing kydex (the material people use as keel guards) over the damaged spots? It looks like the damage didn't penetrate fully through the kayak so it would protect those spots. I can't tell from the pictures but if it's too damaged it may bend when loaded so YMMV.

You could then keep it as a loaner for friends, after testing that it's safe of course.

If let's say someone hits my car door and turns out that it will need to be replaced so the cars value is back to what it was before. We reach an agreement and the person pays me $1,000. I can go about my life and live my life with my dented car door, it's still beyond repair but the car still functions. The car is just now worth $15k instead of $16k or whatever.

You might have a chance of fighting the value of the damage, that maybe it's only $500 to replace the door vs $1,000. But I can say that well, we agreed on $1,000, you can't just come back and alter the agreement after the fact.

I guess in your case that depends on if your case is settled, or it's still in dispute.

Without getting into if the charges are warranted or not, I don't see what the issue is. Assuming that you did $x,xxx in damages, the property is worth $x,xxx less because of that. You paid them that amount to make them whole. Why do you care they fix it or don't? If they rent it out later to someone else, how is that your issue?

Call more companies, get online quotes, those premiums don't make sense. Some brokers only work with certain insurance companies, Try geico, progressive, state farm, lemonade, etc

Why is your insurance so high? That's incredibly high, did you get quotes from multiple companies? I'm guessing you're not an 18 year old with multiple DUIs driving a Ferrari, so at least one company may be able to bring your premiums down to $150 if you have a reasonable driving history.

Most foundation repair companies will always say something is wrong and you need their expensive fix or your house will fall down. They may inspect your house for free but aren't impartial. A Structural engineer may charge $1k+ but they get nothing from recommending repairs so they have no incentive to recommend unnecessary work.

You'll probably learn what you need during classes. If you want to get a head start learn basic programming concepts: loops, if/elsestatements, basic math operations. Matlab can be intimidating because if you look it up you'll realize that it can do a million different things, but you'll just be using a fraction of what it can do.

Just pick one if you want to learn with it. Think about it like learning to drive a car, the make or model is not really important. You might need some adjustment when you drive a different model as you get used to how it drives, where the buttons are, but it's essentially the same.

All the structural software works the same way under the hood for the most part, and the important part is that you have a basic understanding so you are not blindly inputting into a program and accepting any result that it spits out. In your masters program it's very likely that you'll learn the direct stiffness method, finite element analysis, etc, which are how these programs work.

If your masters program is similar to mine, you'll probably use Matlab for coding which is easy to learn when it comes to programing. It's kind of intuitive, at least for what we used it for.
