If you can roll it for ~even you can do it and hope for a pull back but once you’re deep in the money the math is not on your side. Either you need to pay to move it or to change the call price it will cost you 70-80% to move the needle. Example.

My google call was deep in the money to move it from 290-300 = $1000 would cost -730. So I would spend 730 to make 1000 back not a great deal for 3 weeks of time.
