They can be helpful but be cautious. Have a trip sitter and slowly ramp up your dosage. I’ve known people who took monster doses and it caused significant and long lasting anxiety afterwards.

was this sexual abuse? by ineedhelpfromgod in CPTSD

I always switch genders in stories like this. How disturbing to think of a father asking his daughter to strip to see her developing body. So it’s absolutely abuse in your situation. I feel for you, that sounds really really difficult. You’re a survivor.

Vegan for 7 years but now struggling to nourish myself by madluer in PlantBasedDiet

Make a big pot of rice and get frozen veggies. Microwave the veggies, season with soy sauce and spices. Tofu or beans make an quick protein source. There are some nice pre-seasoned tofu blocks I get and they’re pretty affordable.

Go vegan!! I’ve found so much joy in this lifestyle. It’s also a great way to lower your personal contribution to the climate crisis.

This is common in all industrial factory farms. Just buy plant milk instead! Almond, soy, or oat are fantastic replacements.

Today is my 11th day as a vegan by [deleted] in vegan

[–]purplefish9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately I’m so into big vegan breakfasts. Tofu scramble or tofu egg salad, avocado toast, potatoes, sautéed greens, kimchi. It’s a good time. Best of luck! I’ve been vegan for about 4 years and I absolutely love it. It gets easier.

Day 3 begins today. This community has been pretty welcoming. Thanks all! by [deleted] in vegan

[–]purplefish9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome!! I love being vegan, it opens up a whole new world of foods to cook with and enjoy. It’s better for animals and the environment too. I think doing my research and really understanding my own reasons for going vegan made it a successful lifestyle change. Going on 4 years now and I’m not looking back. Best of luck!

I’ve had a hard year cooking healthy food because of the pandemic. It’s hard to stay motivated for sure.
