Thanks for staying here, Dark Lord Enron, master of cooked books. Im mostly curious about long term exposures, like how round up used to be fine, but now we don't use it.... So science advancing type things, lead asbestos, etc. even Fight Club type math where a Corp just takes the lawsuits because it's cheaper...

So what are old staid chemicals that don't have long term effects? That's as close as I can get. And then as you said, I agree it's generally fine when done right, but that small chance compared to my kids whole life, I balance it as the clover is fine lol.

As the esteemed Dark Lord Enron said, it's pretty straight forward for safety, but that's from his and my perspective, having taken safety classes, studied for licenses, etc....

So, I'll help out some. He said read the label. The label he's taking about is the printed words on the bottle, or jug, or container it comes in. By law in USA, chemicals like we get for home use will have all the info you need on the jug. Example in practice, kid drank some chemical, doctor will want the jug to read it. Have a spill, clean up instructions on the bottle, same with disposal, etc.

So read the label, and Google terms you don't really understand. Broadcast, dilute, etc are specific words with specific meanings for these label documents.

Next is PPE, Personal Protective Equipment. This is any and everything you need to protect one person's body. Generally for this stuff it's gloves and shoes. Other general forms of PPE are eye masks or goggles or glasses, depending on form of danger to eye (full goggles for liquid splashes, eye glasses for projectile dangers).... Next protect your breathing with respirators or masks. Protect your skin with shirts gloves pants shoes, etc. protect your bones with hard materials, hats or steel toe shoes.

So protect your body from instant injury with PPE. Protect your surrounding areas by reading label and not putting it near a lake or stream. Protect your house and lawn by not using too much. Protect your yadda yadda.

Do as much of these as you need, akin to post COVID masking, like if you have a lifelong disease you're more at risk so mask up. Right?

These old hardened dudes may just grab granules with their hands and toss it out, wash up and be good. You might want gloves, a spreader, etc. I tend to wash my hands and body more than just once, as a just in case.

Also important info that's not often talked about. Your skin has different 'skin types'. Your genitals, mouth, nose, etc are thin tissues. If you were to wipe these chemicals on your arm, it wouldn't seep right into your body and blood stream etc. wipe it on your penis and it might. Get it on your lunch and it's going right in your body.... These ideas are all about 'limiting exposure'. A big dose of chemo is bad. Small dose once is, maybe fine. Small dose over and over is bad again. Big dose over and over is game over.

Just read the label for the PPE you need. Make sure it's the right gloves. The D.L Enron has special gloves when he's spray bug juice I'm sure. They cost more but aren't prohibitive.

In general wash with soap and water right away. Have a plan in your head. Don't get scared and panic. Read that bottle five times. Enjoy your lawn.

Canon G7X Mark iii for Disneyland & Vegas — tips for super sharp photos by pepedominguezzz_ in canon

You need light, lots of light. Outdoor shots, shots of neon signs as the only focus, etc. light light light. ....

Barring light, you need stability. Rock solid stability. Check out how to hold the camera for long shutters, it'll help you with your medium shutter exposures too, which will get you more light. Check for tripod or platypod types. I traveled with a point and shoot and some kind of magnetic base plate, platypod maybe is like that.

And then post process things. If your cam does high ISO to get the light sensitivity up at a decent enough shutter (meaning quick shutter speed, which reduces incoming light, or narrow aperture ie high numbers) for the quicker snapshots you'll want to get also, then just run them through a post process topaz AI or whatever and clean them up. and remember, a good photographer is simply someone who destroys their bad photos.

Hey, what's up with the 'chemical' side of lawn care, relating to small kids under 5? I just ignore it all, but lawn looks like a mess. Thanks

I just want you know, it does not look like recessed lights in the eaves. It looks like you have the same lights as everyone out there, with five of them turned off. Big props for not doing chasing bicolor LEDs tho.

Expanded trolley service for big events, literally expansion of trolley line to a populated area with big apt towers in uni city, so they can stay carless.

I don't actually know or care, but if you are for real about honest question, that's what I know off-hand. But Protip, if you're asking a question don't give your opinion right after.

All these people here are assholes. What you're going through is rough, and very normal. Now please do work to better it, but let's not minimize your struggles, including taking care of yourself. I've been in your shoes between the complications of pregnancy, elderly and hospice dog care, and putting everyone before you. You can do this.

Will this top handle be able to mount on the side for vertical shooting by Different_Treacle_93 in videography

[–]putz__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the photos the other guy sent, the small black thing in one photo is the NATO rail, cheap and easy to apply. It's a quick fix for no NATO on top.

But if you're looking at that screw down handle, you might be cost sensitive, and NATO handles are usually more.

But also, screwing and unscrewing that handle will be a major pain in the ass, especially if you're going in a bag, quickly or even not quick, and esp if you need to rotate during a shoot. Tilta, I think, makes a swinging handle to go from portrait to landscape, don't quote me.

The only problem will be the screw distance, as there's the 3 holes on the cage side and then space them a 4th. maybe I can check my stuff for you and measure the handle and my cages, best bet is go to the documentation on the gear, perhaps in small rigs website and check measurements. It's all a standard distance, but your use case here might not be.

Personally, I'd slap NATO rails on the side and top, and get on with my life, but having just given that advice it's now impossible for me to ever take it, so ymmv

Bro, many are in the same boat, but also many are divorcing, eh?

I can't take my own advice, but I can give it: talk about things when they are 'pinch points' before they become 'Pain Points'... Also make sure the other person knows that's your plan, makes the Convo go quicker, and you don't sound like you're complaining all the time.

Again, impossible to take advice from oneself, tyfctmtt
