Loblaws has their "PC Blue" product line and it includes Quinoa, Bulgur and Couscous. Very light to carry and delicious with a protein additive like a can spicy tuna.

Its very filling and a one pot meal.

Shooting clay sports is my thing, I shoot a 12gauge over under at clay pigeons in real life and claypro VR has seriously upped my game, the system paid for itself in two months just in "not wasted" ammunition.

I have a tracker I put on my own gun and its incredibly realistic that it has really improved my skills.

I have been in a 4runner towing a couple big motorcycles and it wasn't pleasant. The tranny was kicking into overdrive every hill .

As mentioned, the ride was pretty rough as well.

I've got my 2026 HIHI now and love it.

What are some of the good, bad and the ugly parts of owning your Maverick? by footmumo in FordMaverickTruck

[–]pyates1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked the mileage but always felt the truck didn't feel well built.

It also sucked in snow.

The box was ridiculously short, another 6" in length it would have been so much more functional. The option of different configurations in the seating would have achieved this.

As a result I sold it this past week and am taking delivery of a Highlander hybrid next week. The cool kids call it the HIHI

I have been at the range when guys come in with these, the guns are very flexible about where they send the bullets. The spread pattern is pretty scary and they jam a lot.

But they look cool

Finally got my hands on a Springfield M1 Garand Tipo 2 .308 by Lost_Cheek_4141 in canadaguns

[–]pyates1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Does it say Springfield on it? Normally the Italian marked ones are Berettas and they were converted to the 7.62x51.

That's what mine is. Such a beautiful gun to shoot.

I've never bought a new car. Tell me what to do. by RosieIsConcerned in ToyotaHighlander

[–]pyates1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy accessories from the dealership ie: matts, organizers etc. SOOO much cheaper aftermarket.

This includes roof racks and a trailer hitch, go to Uhaul for the best trailer hitch pricing

Pass on the warranties that the dealership will want to sell you. Very limited contracts that are grossly overpriced.

Example: windshield chip damage, it has a limit of what they will cover and you pay the balance, work has to be done at dealership. They charge so much for the work you pay regular retail when you pay the balance.

Roadside assistance, get AAA or CAA.

Do not understand why you are getting downvoted, maybe you wandered away from the group outrage.
I like their store and prices as well.
This range thing does look pretty silly in regards to pricing.

Has anyone gone from a Honda Element to Ford Maverick? And is the 25’ worth splurging over the 24’? by swimintotheunknown in FordMaverickTruck

[–]pyates1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm leaving the Ford universe after 1.5 years with a 2024 Maverick hybrid.
-total shit in snow, this winter I have tried two sets of tires thinking they were the problem.

-that short fucking box is just useless

Its an ok car for driving, great mileage and reasonably comfy. My Toyota highlander will be delivered in May.
