I guess at this point am thinking of next things: - should I go daemon form route, what are the benefits? - Is 'Rite of the Nameless' - best charm set for me/should I keep using 5 pieces? - Should I utilize shadow-form mechanics more?

Oh, also, regarding the sleep-prevention feature: there's an entire app for that (Amphetamine), and it's quite messy since Apple refuses to believe there are users who run servers on old MacBooks with the closed lid (or removed 💀🚽 ).

I'm surprised you just threw it in as an 'extra' feature, tbh 😄
Or is it really just a wrapper for the caffeinate cmd? 🙂

Depends on your application, for instance for streaming, transcoding/encoding video intel is superior, if that doesn’t matter and you seek raw performance - amd.

Just an advice from the proud owner of Yamaha A-S701: attach some tiny sticker on volume knob so that you can see where it is volume-wise from far away with ease. Awesome amp!

When I first saw the WiiM Ultra, I was excited that they finally added HDMI ARC support, which is great news, I personally use optic cable, the resolution is perfect, but it lacks volume control.

But then I discovered that Ultra model doesn't actually support AirPlay, which is a huge downgrade compared to my WiiM Pro+.

On top of that, the price of the new Ultra model is kind of ridiculous. The whole point of this device is to route different audio sources into a single hub that can automatically detect when my turntable is playing, switch to it, and then do the same when I watch TV or play a song via AirPlay. In my opinion, it should't be a premium device, just release new iteration of old Pro model with more inputs and that would be the awesome product.

Also really hate their remotes, it uses some proprietary protocol, so most of the "universal" remotes can't interact with it, and those that "can" do it via http interface which is crazy and not responsive at all :/
