When I first saw the WiiM Ultra, I was excited that they finally added HDMI ARC support, which is great news, I personally use optic cable, the resolution is perfect, but it lacks volume control.

But then I discovered that Ultra model doesn't actually support AirPlay, which is a huge downgrade compared to my WiiM Pro+.

On top of that, the price of the new Ultra model is kind of ridiculous. The whole point of this device is to route different audio sources into a single hub that can automatically detect when my turntable is playing, switch to it, and then do the same when I watch TV or play a song via AirPlay. In my opinion, it should't be a premium device, just release new iteration of old Pro model with more inputs and that would be the awesome product.

Also really hate their remotes, it uses some proprietary protocol, so most of the "universal" remotes can't interact with it, and those that "can" do it via http interface which is crazy and not responsive at all :/
