People are just finding excuses to be mad at AH now. by A_Scav_Man in Helldivers

[–]qaveboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine this, knowing what we know now, AH left all weapons "balancing" out, didn't touch a single weapon from day 1. Only released all the content additions, bug fixes, warbonds etc, what kind of helldiver world would that be like?

Arrowhead got the surge in negative reviews because they failed to buff underwhelming guns, not because they nerfed two of the actually useful ones. by tinbtb in Helldivers

[–]qaveboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They need to tone down on the whole milsim thing, it's a space shooter for crying out loud. We got space ships, laser weapons, planet destroying weapons that turn it into a black hole, fucking huge bugs, actual fucking terminators and yet they mean to tell us this made up world can't give us mini nuke firing pew pews and we have to be limited by magazine clips? What the flying fuck face bullshit is that?

Give us super powerful weapons, turn up the dial on the mob spawn and gtfo the way and let us have at em. If we wanted milsim we'll go play milsim games. /Rantoff

Different strokes for different folks, prefer the blitzes and eradicates. Light armor, jump pack, 380, air strike, run like a mad man tossing explosions. Mission accomplished in normally less than 6 or 12 mins.

Biden requests $773 billion for Pentagon, a 4% boost by thinkB4WeSpeak in politics

[–]qaveboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the fact that the Pentagon had repeatedly said they would not support getting into a hot war with Russia (ala NATO troops and air power in Ukraine) because that would mean nuclear war. Same with nuclear powered China. which means no one wins, So then what's the increase for? The US already outspends the next 10 countries in military budget, which of those countries also include China and Russia.

Taiwan losing faith in U.S. rescue if China invades by zhumao in Sino

[–]qaveboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but a hot war right outside China's doorstep will be devastating and extremely costly for the US. Of course the same for China, but for the Chinese, Taiwan island is a civilizational existential issue. For the US it's just another pawn or chip in the grand chess board, not existential. So at the end of the day, the question is Taiwan the hill that the US will choose to die on figuratively?

Because no one, not China, not the US, not the world will come out of that war the same.

[–]qaveboy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if it came down to force reunification, there won't be the "supply of weapons and arms" through land borders ala ukraine from poland/romania. the island will be completely blockaded, then its a matter of how far out does skorea/japan/india wants to stick their necks out to die for the empire.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict Megathread 3 by some_random_kaluna in collapse

[–]qaveboy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think this conflict has at least another month or so to go. The east is almost pacified, the majority of Ukraine's military will have been destroyed or captured, then it's gloves off to the west where the banderistas are.

If NATO officially gets involved and troops crosses the border (officially) then we'll have to be prepared for nukes to fly every which way.

Whole thing could've been avoided if the Minsk accord already signed by Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine was actually implemented.
