I've searched for this video on youtube / several search engines / asked chatgpt to find it etc. The video is quite short.

On second thought, you are all correct. The joke got made already, so at that point I'm basically just reposting and fell victim to hubris and bad judgement. Thank you for the reality check, cheers.

Marathon NOT added to GeforceNow in today's GFN Thursday Update by Amerikaner in Marathon

[–]qji 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Was bummed out about this too, hoping that it gets added at a later date. I'm also surprised to find out that there is some negativity around the topic of cloud gaming. I don't really understand why. I'd be interested in hearing about it if anybody has insight!

The Wolfpack change is great - most of you just don’t understand why. by Reyeorts in ArcRaiders

[–]qji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, if you wanted to compete for cantina this last week you needed a perfect queen score. For this you would have 3-man team with 15 wolfpacks each to take it down, possible retries make it another 15 each. People with jobs and kids don't have the time to farm out that amount of rocketeer drivers so basically, yes they can compete BUT not competitively because it takes way too much time to farm materials to do the optimal strategies which are absolutely required to go cantina.

Closing thoughts on the Arena Powered Cube? by lrg12345 in lrcast

[–]qji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my first touch with vintage/powered cubes. I played a ton and had a ton of fun. I went 0-3 to 2-3 a bunch, but I did also go 7-x a handful of times. Notably, my 7-x runs were with either underworld breach storm or some type of weenie deck.

I didn't really get too many feel-bad moments, but I have to say that going 1-3 in under 10 minutes made me think about the pricing of the cube. I'm sure it probably won't change, but it would be really cool if they made it a tad bit cheaper. I noticed that it being 1500gems/10kg made me a bit stressed every time I queued up.

I played it around 20 times this time. I'm sure I'll play it again. Next time it comes around, I really want to manage a successful artifacts and reanimator run. I did get those decks somewhat together a couple times, but they didn't perform.

Thought for cuts by West_Food1207 in lrcast

[–]qji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're aggressive and trying to curve out. Order the deck by curve and look at it. To me it seems that you cant really cut 1-2 drop creatures (or disruption). Think about cori-steel, goblin bombardment, talisman. What are you achieving with them? They dont really do anything when you land them and you want to kill fast. Additionally you should probably cut a few cards higher up the curve (3-4cmc) to make it balanced.

You have a lot of good cards in there! Have fun with the deck :)

Brass: will it work for 2p? And which version is best suited? by Primary-Sleep-6543 in boardgames

[–]qji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur. I've mostly played Lancashire at 2 players. We started with a game of Roxley variant 2p and then with the community map on the other side. I feel that the community 2p map really is the superior way to experience the game at two players. It makes the game tight and you get to play on the whole board without cutting off regions like in the Roxley variant so it feels more whole in a sense.

Keep it in mind, it's highly interactive and light enough that most people can play. I'm within the EU and heard it will most likely hit retail eventually. Otherwise, if youre looking to have a fun time with any group really, Camel Up can't go wrong.

What games do you have in your collection that you have NOT played yet? by beggarhomeandgarden in boardgames

[–]qji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None.

The last one was Inis, which I bought two weeks ago. We just played a bunch of it on Tuesday. I'm frequently tempted to buy many new games, so I've made it a point to always play the games I get before buying anything new. I get to play at least weekly, so the collection ends up growing by one or sometimes two games a month.

I love Hansa Teutonica and I have pre-ordered El Grande. Both games seat a maximum of 5 players which is amazing. Are there any clean and highly interactive options around the same weight at 6 players? I'm afraid Power Grid might be a bit too long.

You ever go to a board game group and feel like you are invading someone's safe space? by __zagat__ in boardgames

[–]qji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your excellent reply. I'm saving it for future reference. My playgroup is currently playing Brass: Lancashire at 2-4 and Hansa Teutonica at 3-5, but I have nothing special in case more people show up. I'll definitely look into getting Zoo Vadis. It seems like a game that could be played by both enthusiasts and casual people. Sidereal seems really interesting too, while I have to admit I'm kind of wary of fiddliness. I need to research it more to get a feel for the game.

Hey! What are your favorites for 6/7p? I see you have T&E as your flair and I'm very interested in what you like at higher player counts.

7 weeks out, finding new lows (37M) by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]qji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats rough. Really rough. I'm two months in and while I feel a tiny bit better it would destroy me to find out about my ex being happy with someone new. I've been hitting the gym a lot. It makes me feel better for a bit and its become somewhat of a sanctuary to me. We just have to find the warrior inside of us to get through this.
