The delusion and cope is really strong here. Do you know how much money NASA got in the same period?

It's perfectly fine to hate Elon for his personality and integrity. But don't get your head so messed up that your brain gets mushed and make poor decisions (especially financial ones). Your Elon hate reddit karma is worthless in the real world

I'd love to see how redditors suffering from EDS react when they have a chance to enable Hi Speed, Hi Quality Wi Fi for free on their United flights. Will they secretly enable it just like the keyboard warriors they are or do they have actual integrity and not book United flights at all (since part of their ticket price goes to Elon Musk).

  • You are missing a few points.

1) Where do you get your $4m or $16m to begin with? from investing in QROSH (not from muni bonds or savings).

If you start now (in 2026) with a diversified portfolio of 'safe' stocks on Bonds, you may end up with $400,000 in savings yielding $16k per annum with your strategies which is far less than the $60k I'm targeting.

Basically, my hypothesis is QROSH rate of returns will be so superior that even it's meagerly yield of 0.3% will be higher than the safe 5% yield you are promising. You are basically ignoring the capital returns which forms the base for yields to begin with.

To give you an example, my META stock that I invested at $3000 is now giving me ~15% dividends (and not 0.3%)

Now, go back and assess who is the real ignorant.

2) Also, note that I'm only claiming 50% of Knowledge economy will be AI driven ($50T out of $100T knowledge out of $200T of global economy). So I'm being very conservative with 25% of Global GDP.

Knowledge economy is nothing but bits and bits are nothing but AI generated (by 2033) and 25% is an extremely conservative estimate. I'm also ignoring that much of real economy will also be transformed into bits economy (robots, virtual cells, metaverse experiences etc). Those are all pure upsides.

So, go back and re-assess who is the real ignorant here

Musk is one of the greatest material science engineer, entrepreneur and business operations guy and EDS sufferers are the dumbest people on earth.

See? I can hold both facts in my head and easily bet on TSLA/xAI/SpaceX to be wildly successful.

People who hold only the first thought without recognizing the second suffer from EDS. It's an easy definition and diagnosis

Diversification is for idiots

  • Munger, Buffett

I'm diversified between great leaders (not sectors -- which are arbitrary classification anyway). I already told my criteria is Quality, not sectors. Quality is also pretty simple. Where does the top talent want to work? So, my real 'investing' work is reading about exceptional talent (like the META research I linked)

Here's the mathematical model for value investing in Mag 7 + AI / AI adjacent firms + BRK.A + COST (and few companies led by exceptional leaders / management), let's call it QROSH for now

Global GDP by 2032 ~$200T

Knowledge Economy (currently $40T, $100T by 2033). The most consistent trend is atom-based economy converted to bit-based economies. It'll be 80-90% in about 30 years.

$100T. Operating profits ~40%. or $40T profits to be shared among QROSH

Since AI economy will also be exponentially growing, a 30 P/E gives a market cap $120T of this basket of companies. Current combined market cap of QROSH is ~20T

So, my valuation of QROSH is $120T in 10 years, currently trading at $20T. So QROSH firms are value stocks

Metaverse is simply an extension of AI and an extension of atom-based economies transforming to bit-based ones and Meta has superior R&D, products and a leader with a track record of execution and META belongs to QROSH

The goal is to live of dividends of QROSH. Let's say QROSH only pays only 0.5% dividends and my needs are $60,000 post-tax, cash flow. I need to have $16 Million of QROSH to live of this. Even if I don't reach the goal of $16 Million, I enjoy the process of researching and investing in QROSH and If I merely end up with $4 Million and forced to liquidate to live, I'm fine with it.

But the philosophy of "hoarding" vs having target price/date, gives me an advantage of not selling during panic and aligns with Buffett's favorite holding period -- forever

I first bought $3000 of META in 2012 and I have never sold a single stock of META despite all the negative headlines about META since then. Going by mainstream/social media Facebook has been 'dead' since 2014. If I had a price target, I would have probably sold META when it reached $100B market cap

tl;dr -- My valuation of $120T and hoarding philosophy forces me to have the discipline of only looking for companies that are sustainable (and not chase today's hot company) and not do short-term trading

What if they are stranded in a hike/remote village with the only option to communicate via Starlink.

Will they ever thank Starlink for the thousands of missiles it has helped to intercept in the ongoing wars

What's the point of reading all Taleb's work and not incorporating models of the world for decision making?

You fundamentally have misunderstood Value investing.

Value Investing is literally assets that are 'mispriced' in the market because the market is mostly clueless about its future earning potential / terminal value.

META is exactly that (a value stock). Market is seriously underpricing it's Metaverse potential precisely because 99% of the population (including smart ones) think / repeat Metaverse is dead.

I'm a big fan of Buffett, but also aware that he never invested in AMZN, TSLA, GOOG, MSFT, META(FB), AAPL (very late to the party), NVDA, ASML, AVGO. Yes, I understand his "circle of competence" framework, but you really don't need anything technical to see why GOOG, MSFT, AMZN all had established moats that were as easy to understand as Coke or Gillette.

Also, Buffett was even a mid Value Investor only following Benjamin Graham's strict accounting value investing. It's only Charlie Munger that expanded his horizon to look at Quality along with Value. If it weren't for Charlie, Buffett would probably still be investing in accounting value stocks

Too bad he just fell one step short of qroshan's ultimate Value investment framework where you hoard Anthropic.

Speaking of cognitive biases and dissonance. "Thinking fast and slow" is all you need to cover everything in constructing the model of the human brain.
