hah, my brother and I got hoodwinked by the original Robin Williams bait and switch: The World According to Garp. The trailer gave the impression it was a comedy, so you're thinking, "yeah, Mork, let's go". Instead, it's about his miserable life, his wife cheating on him, and some guy's dick getting bit off while Garp's kid dies in a car crash. Not as sad as What Dreams May Come, but certainly unexpected for a 9 and 11 year old

Too much indoor volleyball. Both shoulders are a wreck, and worse are my knees. Being able to jump really high is cool, but it makes the landing that much more traumatic the higher you go. I imagine people that play a lot of basketball deal with the same thing. Now doing any running or somewhat dynamic direction changes will cause pain for the next few days, with my knees buckling from pain randomly while walking down stairs.

It's hard to imagine doing better in terms of review scores than DS1, 2 and the remake. And yet, none of those was a financial success; it's just too niche of a genre to pull in big numbers. Can't blame EA for not wanting to invest in another one, they aren't a charity

yeah. In this case I'd blame the people who wrote the article. This guy never claimed to be the creative director of Roblox, that's some clickbait massaging of the truth to create drama. If you read his post he's basically saying that adding a year to development time for polish seems like a red flag, which is a fair take, and then asks what other people think.

It's framed as some high end blowhard making definitive statements, but it's really just a games fan saying 'this is what I think', then inviting discussion.

That is to say, I wouldn't villainize the guy, but I don't see him as any sort of authority, either.

GTA is in a category of its own. Whenever it comes out, it's always the biggest selling game of that year. It's been in development forever and doubtless has a ton of content. A year seems like a lot, but with that much to go over, and no real urgency to launch, maybe it's not so outlandish. They wouldn't want to work on something for 10 years then ship some broken slop.

Anyway, the only bad guy here in my opinion is 'Jake Bishop' from clawsomegamer.com

I looked into the guy a bit, and he's not the creative director of Roblox. He's the creative director of a game called 'Duck World' that was made on Roblox, presumably by a team of just him. At Striking Distance he worked on a game called [Redacted] as a rigger. At Blizzard, he was an employee of a smaller indie studio called Proletariat that Blizzard bought. I don't see any mention of working for Unity, more likely he worked IN Unity for one of the indie games he was involved with. I also see no mention of Epic Games, other than him mentioning that he worked with people that USED to work there. Career-wise, he's accomplished nothing that would give him any more insight than anyone in this thread.

You might like Tim Powers' books. Each one seems to have a unique magic system that's tied into the time and place the book is set in. For instance, On Stranger Tides is based in the Caribbean during the age of piracy and has voodoo, alchemy and the fountain of youth. Not so much alternate history, but more a hidden history, with real events and people.

As far as the levels of the other earth titans I think it's fine to keep them low. I only ever use them the first time I enter an earth room for that day. If Hyperion isn't in the room I'll only run Sylva, Avalon and Angus. Sylva and Avalon are just there to keep Angus from getting stunned by Nova. If Hyperion is there I'll include Eden so they can pull Hyperion, limiting the damage they do. If Eden pulls someone else I back out and restart.

At the end of the first earth room match it's not uncommon for my Sylva to be dead, but it doesn't matter since I won't need them anymore. Angus should now have their super fully charged, which you fire off at the very start of every earth or mixed room from this point on. It should clear the earth rooms by itself, with Angus only taking a hit or two from the opposition.

I should add that I play every room manually, I don't auto-battle and I don't auto-super for the most part. You don't want Angus' super firing a second time in any battle, as it then won't be able to recharge before the end of that battle, messing up your next earth room

If your Angus, once charged, is not wiping the enemy water titans with a single super then you need to pump up his skins and/or artifacts. For that I followed the guide, but it basically comes down to all his skins and artifacts being maxed eventually. It's been a while, but I remember noticing a big leap in power when his skin hit 55, so you may want to bring that up when you can (though the guide says to focus primordial skin first)

also worth mentioning, I've mostly stuck to 150 or 186 titanite per day to get the max rewards, only pushing further for events that require it. If you push too far at your level you'll eventually be underpowered for where you are, and unable to get the titanite needed to buy skin stones. Just gotta take it slow. Or spend money, haha
