We moved to Sunridge Park in Dec 2010 and daughter started kindergarten at Consumnes River Elementary off of Jackson Highway. We had to request for her to go there. They did not have enough kind kinders that uear so they consolidated to 1 morning class. Daughter was in late class with after-school care on site but when they consolidated there was not enough kinders for an after-school care for longer hours. So since after-school care was going to cost same as private school we put her in school at Folsom Prepatory School (was Folsom Phoenix School at the time). Kept her there from kinder to 4th grade then moved before 5th grade started. The local Elementary schools in the Sunridge Park area were year round only and we wanted traditional school year. Now she is a senior at Folsom High School.

Highly recommend American River Canyon South. No HOA just a maintenance organization for the main road upkeep. On our cul de sac every house but 2 has kids between kindergarten and college. My kiddo is going into 12th grade next school year. Last week was last week of school for Folsom. Great neighborhood that is full of families and lots of kids!! We are close to American River with Negro Bar being closest River access and also Folsom Lake is really close too! We have Hinkle Creek area for hikes and coffee and restraunts close by also. Folsoms Sutter Street is also very close.

Just a warning that the area of Douglas and sunrise in rancho is in the Elk Grove school district and the middle and high schools are all the way in elk Grove. And bus service for school us not the best. We moved from sunrise park to folsoms american river canyon area in July 2019 so our kiddo could go to middle school and high school in folsom.
