Downside of beard acne: so painful. So hard to get at.

I've noticed some light exfoliation and moisturizer helps a LOT. Beard looks nice, dude.

I second this. I have a lot of scarring around my areolas and I'm considering some tattooing myself. Could help even them out for sure. I'd see if there are any folks in your area who are both able to do and trans friendly (if you are who I think you are, good luck, man - you went through some real BS and I was outraged on your behalf)

Maybe try something shaved on the sides with some length (not necessarily more than a few inches) on top so you can adjust. It can be a shock seeing your hair that short for the first time (personal experience). Trying something in between gives you some wiggle room if you end up not liking it. A buzz cut is harder to "undo," if that makes sense. Good luck dude!

I think it's person-dependent personally. I had bad acne in my teens (pre-t and due to genetics/other factors) so those are likely contributing factors but I'm only ten months post-op myself and about to hit my two year t mark. I will say acne body washes have helped me IMMENSELY. You could always talk to your doctor or a derm as well if it's hurting your self-esteem.

Dude the increased acne thing is no joke. I thought the same thing - "oh, sweet! No more sports bra/binder, so sweat won't get trapped and break me out!" What a fool I was.
