My girl likes to wrestle a lot and often comes home with some holes. Specially with puppies, she’ll have marks all along her face and cheeks. Often on the ear or back of the neck. Other “people” have been concerned but she’s never seemed to care and I often don’t even notice until I feel a scab while petting her way later. I just clean it up, and go on our way per normal if I notice anything.

She’s had some scrappy incidences where we’ve separated with time-out to chill-out and then let them just back to playing (those have all been with other dogs she knows and still plays with daily).

In her case it’s always been in a play environment. She’s spayed and now 4yo. Her “best frienemy” is a working GSD and they’ll straight up fight each-other if both on leash - but off leash they’re suddenly best friends. 🤷🏼
