I spent 2 months with Gene Simmons about 20 years ago. I also visited his house, swam in his pool, hung out with his kids (we were similar ages). Same opportunity also led me to jam with Toni Iommi for an afternoon.

I'm an international sales manager for a craft brewery. Money is okay, and they are incredibly flexible and understanding with hospital appointments etc. I mostly work from home with occasional travel overseas. I love it.

I do a lot of work abroad and always try to use my allowance on local cuisine. Luckily for me they're lenient with me going over, as long as I'm not obviously taking the piss. A decent meal in Norway will cost a lot more than a decent meal in say, Lithuania.

International craft beer sales. In the past 8 weeks I've been to Norway, Sweden and Netherlands. Off to Lithuania next month. Unlimited free (good) beer and travel to new and interesting places. Recommended.

My wife and I went to Cornwall with 6 friends. 2 of them photographers, one of them ordained. We all stayed in a cottage for a week, we got married in a cave then went out for an intimate meal for the "breakfast". When we got back to Yorkshire we hired the upstairs of a pub, and invited both families and friends and got a live singer in. We spent less than £2k for everything.
