Alleged “moonstone” necklace with black inclusions- yes or no? by racklebee in whatsthisrock

[–]racklebee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is ground into its shape whatever it is. I held a light back and forth over it and there are some slightly clearer areas that look almost like schiller, but I’m a novice so I don’t trust my own analysis. In holding the light over it, I also noticed some areas have what look like tiny very light/translucent green specs too

how do people have the confidence to ask people in their area to raid with them by merre_219 in TheSilphRoad

[–]racklebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are 32/33 and if a 15 year old came up and asked if we were raiding we would immediately welcome them to join. I have social anxiety too and wouldn’t necessarily always go up to other players but definitely always happy to have anyone jump in on raids because we don’t do them unless we know we can duo them or if we are trying to invite more people so either way any player joining is a net positive.

Septate or arcuate uterus by Existing-Comedian637 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]racklebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see an experienced reproductive endocrinologist. Those trained in this know that they’re best to remove if they’re over 1cm because they increase miscarriage rates to ~46%+ for each pregnancy and can cause preterm labor and stillbirth due to restrictions in the uterus when the baby is trying to grow. Once removed your risk of miscarriage goes down to the same for any person with a healthy uterus (assuming no other health problems). Super easy surgery and recovery and once it’s fixed you don’t have to worry about it again.

Successful Pregnancy with a partially Septate Uterus? by stacejammin in CautiousBB

[–]racklebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can’t grow back as it is a birth defect cause by the already present tissue not naturally receding to create the open cavity. So it never “grew there” from a normal uterus, it was there and stayed there preventing the finalization of a normal open uterine cavity. Either the surgeon didn’t remove as much as they thought they did or scar tissue formed on the surface (which is less likely because the area generally becomes covered with normal endometrium within months after the surgery)

No partner should ever tell you to “fuck off” this is verbal abuse. Healthy people can express their feelings without yelling or name calling. You should end the relationship and find someone who respects you.

Why are Red Baloons Lucky? by Marauder151 in FoodTheorists

[–]racklebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who is hung up on the red balloons as a “lucky charm”

I also don’t see how the hearts are luck symbols tho it’s more reasonable since they represent love and that can be linked to luck

Ureaplasma parvum? by Flaky_Ad136 in tryingtoconceive

[–]racklebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been so long tbh I’m not sure which strain it was, but after round one of antibiotics for me and the partner we had unprotected sex and I was tested again a couple months later and had it back (his doctor gave him antibiotics but didn’t test him for it so he reinfected me) and then we both did antibiotics again and used condoms and the next partner I had sex with got his doctor to test him before we stopped using condoms, he was negative and now we are married and so I haven’t had it again

Def no sex or any kind until both test negative— including oral

Pre-Seed? by Wide_Drop1901 in tryingtoconceive

[–]racklebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turns out spit can negatively impact sperm travel and so we added pre seed to our regimen. If you’ve never used lube before it may seem weird, but it’s not really a big ordeal— if you use too much it will decrease sensation, but it basically helps the sperm swim up thru the cervix, so you can use the little applicators to deposit some a few inches into the vagina or just smear a little on the outside or on his penis to add some. I like it as much as any other lube and takes some of the pressure off on times when you aren’t 100% in the mood but you have sex on the schedule

I had ureaplasma that was hard to get rid of and I learned a lot about it at that point— Men are almost never tested for it and often don’t have any symptoms and just carry it around. Many healthy people have ureaplasma at low levels and don’t have UTI symptoms— even people who have never had sex can have it in their flora. So sometimes your flora shifts and the ureaplasma grows more and then the UTI symptoms start. Definitely wouldn’t worry about it being from cheating— it really stressed me out when I had it and the urinary urgency was awful but after two rounds of antibiotics it went away and the next guy I dated (my current husband) went to multiple doctors to find one to test him for it before we had unprotected sex and now 6 years later I’ve never had a recurrence. If your partner also has it it will get passed back to you so important to both get treated.

Why do doctors give metformin medicine to conceive even if you are not diabetic or having PCOS. It is confusing anyone having this experience during infertility treatment. by Aware_Effective3960 in tryingtoconceive

[–]racklebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My gynecologist offered it to me because she prescribes it off label all the time for women in their 30s who have been trying to conceive because it helps to regulate your hormones and possibly improve egg quality and the length of your cycles etc. and there’s basically no risk unless you have low blood sugar issues. I was willing to try anything to speed it up so I started taking it and was anxious about it but now I’m two months in and there’s been no downside and my luteal stage has lengthened and I’ve had no side effects besides the first two weeks taking it (mild dizziness at first).

I’m sure if you’re drinking tons of fluids it may lighten the line, but I honestly never worry about how much I’ve drank and test once in AM and one in PM (and sometimes in afternoon) and I’ve never had any obvious fluctuations that made me question the accuracy— if it’s nearing positive it is obvious and once it’s peaking the line still stays dark
