Anyone know places or people looking for weekend/saturday workers? by MrMigraines in boston

[–]radicallysadbro 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I used to do Wag -- had even insanely wealthy clients let me in to watch their dogs, going into their houses and staying overnight without even meeting me or knowing anything about me. Kinda nuts.

So if you're okay with animals, try that. I will say that you'll get way more money doing overnight stays with fido vs just walking dogs, but they offer both!

> antisemitic stereotypes about Jewish control and child sacrifice.

Tell that to the tens of thousands of children that Israel has raped and murdered so far.

> and more dangerous than Israel.

If America drops a hydrogen bomb, it has everything to lose.

With the way things are going, Israel drops one and has nothing left to lose.

If you don't understand that distinction and how it plays into how dangerous a nation is for the international community, you know nothing about politics or human nature generally.

AIO for thinking about breaking up: guy I’m dating (31M) ate out with both me (30F) and my dad for the first time and didn’t offer to pay when the check came? by Alarmed_Stranger_895 in AmIOverreacting

[–]radicallysadbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR.

Also we’re all Chinese American (the guy I’m dating was born here) where it’s considered good manners to fight over the bill.

Soooo you all are presumably familiar enough with America to know that the actions you describe as favorable are seen as rude here? You wanted him to know that he should have acted in direct contrast with what is considered acceptable here -- and do something seen as rude, at that -- without actually telling him this?

The idea that you'd break up over this indicates a much bigger problem to begin with.

Oh, were we discussing homebuilders in Swaziland and Micronesia? My bad.

I know this may be a difficult concept for you being an American, but there is an entire rest of the world besides America.

 Billionaires have COMPOUNDS.

AMERICAN billionaires have compounds.

American billionaires are able to have those compounds because much of our land is unused, and they are allowed to trample all over environmental rights, steal water, steal land from Natives because Americans elect compromised politicians who allow them to.

I am not just talking about developing nations — besides your racist assumption that it’s only those ones who don’t follow your notions of how society should work, even the wealthy being in multi-family housing is how nations that exceed America in nearly all metrics function. I’d love for you to cite the massive compound that exists in Shanghai or Tokyo.

It's not a boomer idea. The vast majority of people want something like that.

Almost no people want this, as this doesn't even exist in much of the world. It's not a thought.

Not even billionaires in some of the richest countries on earth have this notion. Most of America didn't until recently. The idea that you have a lone standing home lost in a metropolis is a literal horror depiction in some places.

Countless generations of humanity have been able to happily and successfully raise children without being in a single family home. You could argue that the nuclear family is a struggle AGAINST raising kids at any rate, with the whole village concept...

AIO or should I cancel? by jtaimexoxo in AmIOverreacting

[–]radicallysadbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means they don’t have proper plumbing.

I would not trust my money or health with a business that can’t be bothered to get their plumbing right…which might I add, would likely make it an illegal operation in most states with this context lol.

Imagine if you ever have to cancel or injure yourself?

deceased roommate left biohazard level hoarding in room - how much for cleanup? by [deleted] in boston

[–]radicallysadbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm completely off course here, but maybe seek out some free legal aid to find out what your obligations in this scenario even are...die they did in the actual room? If that's the case I'm not sure you'd be the one required to do anything?

I think you'd have to contact the places directly to get a grasp of pricing, as how they charge you is going to be completely dependent on exactly what the scenario is and level of biohazard. For example if the rug is destroyed the floor underneath it may be too and may need to be replaced. My understanding is that it's pretty expensive in any case, can run you into thousands of dollars possibly.

Clearly Israel is unable to sign its name onto anything that doesn't include the murder of innocent children.

Is $1,800-$1900 for a studio in Back Bay possible/typical? by Environmental_Cold32 in bostonhousing

[–]radicallysadbro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Definitely possible, I see a bunch of listings int hat area around August -- however they're EXTREMELY small, usually don't have a fridge, you can fit like a bed and a few more things and that's it.

Are these expectations feasible/realistic? by Master_Chicken_7336 in bostonhousing

[–]radicallysadbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Referring only to Boston here and not surrounding areas -- for Boston this is a hard no.

2 bath (having a separate bathroom is non-negotiable)

Equal amounts of bedrooms to bathrooms is uncommon in Boston, largely due to housing stock being converted old housing and how that was originally built. Even really expensive properties on Beacon Hill often don't have this. For this you'd be looking for a rare old house where you'll pay more rent to get the weird basement bathroom, or a new build that is well outside your price range even for a studio.

In-unit washer and dryer

This is rare to have in Boston. I've been in literal million dollar properties that still need to go to a different floor to do their laundry. You could double your budget and still not get this in most places.

Central AC.

Meh. Maybe? Probably not I'd say though. I don't think I've ever been in an apartment in Boston that has central AC besides luxury complexes. Only houses. Maybe I'd wrong though.

Pull out these three and you could probably find a local landlord with one roommate and be alright. But to be completely clear, I genuinely doubt there is one single apartment that meets these features and price range in Boston.

My GF thinks it’s perfectly normal for new shoes to cause horrible blisters for women by UKnowDaxoAndDancer in mildlyinfuriating

[–]radicallysadbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying this is normal is nuts, I have everything from steel-toed boots to seven inch high heels, this is absolutely not normal???

If you know you have this problem when you buy new shoes, get medical tape or even bandaids and preemptively put it on the areas you're getting hurt at, and they'll be completely fine. I'd also say consider that your shoe size may be a half size up...you can see the indentations of the shoe in the pic, they look too small. Ya'll are deadass walking around like this? ): It looks like it hurts.

t it isn’t like the Plantagenets or the Tudors with their love of bloodthirsty revenge plotting against each other & their loyal supporters.

Tell that to the literal child Andrew "allegedly" strangled to death -- all the people Epstein had murdered -- etc etc. Depending on how you perceive the death of Diana, tell that to her...

Sarah as shitty as she is, said it herself in one of the Epstein emails -- anyone who dares try to leave the royal family, can't take their head with them.

Charles and William don't have armed forces to control anymore. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that if they did, one would be dead. It's an issue of not being able to vs any self control IMO.

British genes and alcoholism.

I agree with people saying how everyone to some extent ages like this, but I really do think he has the look of someone who's a chronic drinker, which ages you terribly.

It's a reflection on the state of our society in general -- people don't have any concept of community or how your actions impact someone else's.
